I registered for December SAT and this is probably the final time I take it. Do you guys have any tips for me in improving CR and W? May be something like how to read the passages in a more efficient way or the existing patterns of CR and W.

This is not something that you should be doing in the last week. I suggest sticking to your current pattern and working hard. If you change your style of attempting today, you may not get used to it and crumble. The best you could do in this time is brush up on your vocabulary. Good Luck!

I agree with AltoLime about the method-changing. Last time I took the SAT for the first time in Oct 2013; my CR scores are usually mid 600s, I’ve never hit 700, but with last minute studying (I’m very bad at that…) I managed to get a 720 which I’m pretty happy with. I just did reading passage after reading passage and I use the method of doing the questions after every paragraph or so, so it’s fresh in my mind. I don’t think there is a way to NOT read the passage like some study books say, unless you’re just good at piecing together unknown info. But I think you’re devoted you can manage to find a way to read that suits you best if you just keep doing them.

I didn’t study Vocab that much…I missed 1 and omitted 1 on Vocab last time, but I’m an avid reader. Alto may be right in studying pure vocab, but honestly I would hit the passages if that’s what you struggle with more (as do I).
