Taking the ACT?

I’m a Finnish HS senior graduating this June (applying for fall '06) and I’ll be taking the SAT in May. Now that I’ve been looking into the prep books, I’ve been considering taking the ACT too, not because I find the SAT too hard to succeed in, but just to as a comparison of sorts. How do for example the math sections compare? I’ve checked out the ACT example questions on act.org and they do seem pretty easy in comparison to the harder SAT questions. So I guess what I’m trying to ask here is: Is the ACT considerably easier than the SAT?

Also, about the science section: how much does the science section cover? I’ve studied only some physics and chemistry but the Finnish equivalent of AP Bio.

Many find the questions in the ACT to be easier and more straightforward than the SAT; however, you are given significantly less time to answer them so the result is that the two tests are about equally difficult. The science section actually does not require significant science knowledge and deals more with being able to read, understand, and extrapolate information from tables with data.
