Taking the SAT/ACT for another student

I’m already college student. What would be the consequences if I were caught taking someone else’s test?

Up to four years in prison, based on the case below.

[7 Arrested For Alleged SAT Cheating Ring At Great Neck North High School CBS New York](7 Arrested For Alleged SAT Cheating Ring At Great Neck North High School - CBS New York)

I have a friend that goes to great neck north. His older brothers’ friends were caught for having other people taking their tests and were sent to jail for a day. And the test takers are in jail. Also, having another person taking your sat sets you up to go to a college you’re not ready for. Its not worth it. Do not take the sat/act for another student.

it is just too risky to do that. Believe me, even if the person who you take the test for gets into Harvard, it will still be not fair. At some point in their lives, it will just come back, as proven by the SAT fraud cases. Don’t risk it man!

Just don’t get caught… :stuck_out_tongue: jk

It’s not worth it. There was a student that had already been offered a full ride soccer scholarship to some university (i don’t remember anymore) and he was caught taking the SAT for his friend to get the score up so they could play together in college. Someone from their high school soccer team caught wind of it and reported them to collegeboard and the police. The kids were arrested (i don’t know if they had to serve time) and the other’s scholarship was revoked.

Is cheating for someone else worth getting expelled from your current school?

Dude just don’t even think about it. Believe me it doesn’t worth it .

Don’t do it. The consequences of getting caught far outweigh any benefits you may gain.
