<p>I think what we mean to say is that Juilliard ONLY awards scholarship money to talented people who have demonstrated financial need. In other words, if a multimillionaire with talent up the wazoo auditioned and was admitted, Juilliard would not award that person a talent scholarship because that person – despite being super duper talented – does not demonstrate financial need. Some schools use talent money to try to entice very desirable students to that particular school. Others, like Juilliard, tie talent money to financial need.</p>
