Just made my purchase after trying out mattresses at both Mattress Firm and Macy’s (as a double check). Much to my surprise, I did not like the piillow tops or hybrids. Not to my surprise, I did not like the memory foam.
My final choice was the Beautyrest Black C-class medium. Every time I went from another mattress back to it, I kept liking it better and better. I relax a lot on the bed so wanted to be able to move around. And one minute testing an adjustable base convinced me I needed one!
Apparently mattress sales run from before Veteran’s Day on well past Black Friday. There was a $300 gift card offer with the mattress purchase. Macy’s also gave me $100 off the base for buying the mattress in store, and 10% off the base with a code from their website. And I joined their points reward program so whenever I get and redeem the gift card, I should have about $30 in points to use also. So not sure if this qualifies as a good buy considering how much I spent!
The bed will be delivered a few days before son comes to visit for a week. It will be in the guest room where I normally sleep, so he will sleep beautifully while I deal with husband’s snoring.
