I got accepted, but I also got accepted to UCLA and UCSB. I am really trying to get away from the west coast for a change of scenery. I applied to NYU but have not heard back. St. John’s said yes really quick, almost quicker than Seton Hall. I am still waiting on financial aid, which I heard is usually fairly decent, that being the reason I applied.
Can anyone currently attending tell me why I should go there?
- is there a facility for students to work out and lift weights?
- is the area surrounding the Queens campus safe? safe enough to walk my dog?
- is there a subway close by, and how long does it take to get to downtown? yankee stadium? Madison Square Garden?
- how are the professors? Mostly T.A.'s teaching? Class size? work load?
- how is the area surrounding the school (Queens), for food, shopping, activities?

Thanks ahead of time.
maybe I will see you there!

Yes on campus

Safe . . . sometimes people get robbed but that’s if you’re walking alone at midnight

The subway is about 5-10 blocks away - You can take the shuttle bus that drops you infront of the subway or walk, or take MTA bus

Not bad, some classes are overcrowded nothing smaller than 30

Queens center mall is 30-1hr away depending if you drive or take bus-2-train transportation

Do not go to st johns. Most of 2015 transferred out. It sucked there and there’s nothing nearby. Subway is a 15 min walk. Manhattan is 45 min away but subway and you’ll get robbed if you’re off campus at night by yourself
