Talking about a hobby for a personal essay?

<p>Do many people talk about hobbies they start at a young age that they want to continue through college as a potential major?</p>

<p>& Writing about how you use that “hobby” to help many people you know (including your church). And how once you arrive in college you will be able to help millions?</p>

<p>Is that personal enough? The idea of helping?</p>

<p>Hobby- personal enough obviously. Not a bad topic at all but depends on how you write it.
I think it’s better you don’t speak about how you are planning to help, but simply show with anecdotes and examples how you have already helped. Remember, don’t ‘say’ that you helped. You should ‘show’ that you helped.</p>
