TAMS help

Anybody else have children at TAMS and had to bring them back to local ISD due to health reasons? Junior at TAMS not doing well in second semester. May have to bring back to Plano ISD. Any experiences? How does the parent school credit for the courses of 1 year at TAMS. What happens if we keep the student in TAMS for the 12 th grade and then TAMS dismisses them due to GPA? Can you come back to home school half way through 12th grade?
Desperate for guidance. Any advise helps.
Thanks

I am sorry your student has a health issue at TAMS https://tams.unt.edu/</a> . I don’t have a personal experience with TAMS but I have known kids who have been selected for the program over the years. Have you talked to the GC at TAMS? They may have students in the past with similar issues and can advise what options are for your student. Since TAMS is an early college entrance program, so I think transferring to a community college near home maybe a way to go. Good luck to your student and hope s/he feels better soon!

Contact your student’s academic counselor to discuss your situation. As a current TAMS student, I know that the academic counselors are the best individuals to answer your questions and they will help you with the process of transferring out of TAMS, if that is necessary. It is Spring Break now, so try calling on the 17th to speak to someone.
