I am a Junior at an extremely competitive High School in Texas that was ranked as a Top 5 Public School in the U.S.I am in the quartile and all of my classes but two are AP. I am also a a two sport varsity athlete and was named Academic All-District for both sports. I am in NHS and have accumulated about 75 volunteer hours in two years. SAT-wise, I could be named a NM Scholar with a 1460/1520 and have a 1440/1600 SAT but, I am still awaiting ACT scores. What are my chances of getting into Texas A&M?
I think you have pretty good chances with your SAT scores.
You should get automatic admission if you maintain your rank.
If you are in the top 10% of your class ( Your post isn’t clear on your class rank) you are an auto admit or in top 25% and based on your SAT scores, you are an auto academic admit. Your major, however, isn’t guaranteed, especially if you are applying to engineering.
if you do not qualify as an auto admit described above, you still have a shot at entry by holistic review or offered Blinn Team or one of the other pathways.
