TAMU Holistic review candidates Class of 2022

@Txstudent28 CONGRATULATIONS! Still no change here … under review …

We have heard it could be the end of March for decisions from Admissions? Anyone know about this? My daughter applied on July 1st. This whole early admission process now makes zero sense if other applicants, who applied in October and are also holistic Review, are receiving decisions on their Application. Any kind of update from Admissions would be better than this wait and trying to guess when decisions are going to be issued because it’s definitely not first come first serve in this case.

I hate to say it but that was what I was told when I stopped by the Admissions table at the Singing Cadets concert here in Austin in January.

I chatted “Steve” yesterday on chat and he told me they do not have waves, if your file is viewed and you are accepted you find out the next day. I do not know how much I believe that . I was told by Perspective Student Center that they were aiming to have a lot out by 2/15 but it might be delayed a week or two. Hopefully we hear something by 3/1. :expressionless:

Still “In Review” here for Interdisciplinary Studies ED. Maybe this is a social experiment to see how long people will wait. Haha!

Perhaps those who receive full admission in their major find out the next day? The TAMU website states that your application may be reviewed several times before an acceptance offer is made. If that is the case, and if PSA offers have not been extended yet, I am inclined to believe that just because AIS still shows in review does not mean it’s a pending denial.

I chatted with an online admissions perosn names debbie, and she said admissions will continue to roll out from now till the first part of March, and that we should check on Wednesdays and fridays.

It seems that whoever people “chat” with everyone has a different answer to when to check your status and when all decisions will be made. I, for one, am not enjoying this process at all. I just wish that we were maybe emailed a specific time/date. I am just a parent and I know these students are worried. We just need a decision so that we can move on to a back up plan if need be.

if nothing by 3/1 im withdrawing

at what point is it ridiculous to keep waiting? in other words, how long is too long to wait?

I guess by the end of march @TXagghopeful1

Just be patient though

@TXagghopeful1 As has been repeated ad nauseum, this wait is nothing new. Happens every year. This year also had an epic natural disaster 90 miles away that affected a large population that applies to A&M.
March 1 is the published deadline.
Due to the month extension of the application deadline, it might be after March 1.
You have until May 1 to accept/decline admissions anywhere in TX.

I wouldnt look at NHS as a resume builder I would look at it as a character builder. Gain experience before adulthood is my take on it. (Depends on that chapters effort/devotion too) If he enjoys experiencing different community service projects I think he should go for it. High school is a time to gain knowledge and character while its still free lol. Im in NHS and AFJROTC, so I have to do double the hours but I wouldnt have it any other way. I love the leadership and projects I had in my academic years.

@hein92 Yes that does mean Gateway. My daughter was Gateway. Congratulations!

We are actually in CStat today for SNWC. Spoke to admissions just for next steps information in case she gets a rejection. He reiterated that the attempt is to have everything out by the end of this month. Poor guy looked like he’d been answering that question all day every.

Now I’m starting to feel uneasy about not getting a notice yet.

I am a firm believer in ALWAYS having a back up plan.
