I thought Mays was full? I have very similar test scores plus an IB Diploma and multiple EC, but I still have complete and in review? @Lupescupe
I thought you had to list Mays as your first major in order to be considered and that Mays doesn’t accept second choice majors.
I had different stats for A&M as I had for UT. I had taken an extra SAT test and a extra ACT test.
I had finished A&M’s application way before I finished UT’s.
I had titled Poli Sci for my second major on this forum earlier since many had said that Mays was full.
called prospective student center because son had something to add to resume but just happened last week elected NHS pres:) they said can’t add due 1/10
They did say decisions coming out rest of this month and into beginning of March…
@Lupescupe I didn’t see a response to this, are you saying this is correct?
You were denied your first choice major, of Poli Sci, a Liberal Arts major, and given your second choice major, which is what, in Mays?
First major is Mays second is poli sci… what is so complicated?

@Lupescupe I believe the confusion is because you put “Mays Business” as your major in your acceptance post. Nothing about Poli Sci. So you got Poli Sci? Since Mays has been full.

How did you get into Mays?
I thought your major was biology. According to Nov 21 post #497, you have were already admitted to College of Science for Biology.

Got notified of my acceptance yesterday. Here are my stats if anyone is wondering or wants compare
I applied to College of Science for Biology
4.1 GPA 19% of my class.
1350 SAT 680 reading 670 math
Did not submit any letters of recommendation
Did all three essays
over 800+ hours in hospital as volunteer
80+ hours of CS
53 College Credits
If only this site showed ip addresses!

For your info to help don’t know if I responded w all sons stats… He’s 2nd quarter( small private school didn’t rank- this is his assigned rank). 30 ACT. Varsity basketball, varsity cross country. JV baseball, scholar athlete all high school, NHS all high school, Christian leadership award cross country,etc. volunteered as well. Sent resume + 2 letters of rec Biology major 1st choice then BIMS choice second. Waiting. Thought I’d post in case didn’t give you all info. Want to help others. Praying for everyone! Congratulations those accepted to Mays today- that’s awesome!
