TAMU Holistic review candidates Class of 2022

@Stimmer64 it is if you are from the State of Texas. My daughter is from California. Top 10% does not apply.

@ATXAggie you’ll figure this out with the advisor, but all majors are very precise on what they have to take. Ag bus follows closely with Mays with the exception of ag Econ. I don’t think he’ll have any trouble with losing credits.

Current message

“The Financial Aid Portal is currently down as we award incoming Freshmen for the 2018-2019 Academic Year. We anticipate the portal to be back online no later than 10am Thursday, February 22. We apologize for any inconvenience.”

So does that mean all freshman would have been notified for admission if they are doing awards for Financial Aid? Or does anyone from past years know if this was before denials or meaning denials were on way?

@paag1234 I wouldn’t read to much into the financial aid portal issue. They are still handing out admissions through the end of the month and march.

I spoke to Admissions today. She said they were still sending out decisons and had even sent some rejections already. They are “still on track to be done by end of month- early March at the latest”.

@Classof82 google “TAMU Map to Mays” for the current requirements to meet to get into Mays from Gateway: 30 completed A&M hours, 2 math courses completed, 3.5 GPA.

Are we sure Gateway gets the tamu banner?

I’m quite concerned about my documents sent to TAMU for financial aid. On the site everything is check marked green but one box “EFC” box is noted as incomplete with a red X. What do I need to send for that to change? I literally did everything they asked for. And it says “Please send the requested documents” (somethng to that effect cant see it right now). Will it affect my application?

@BriTheIntrovert2 call the financial aid office. I had a similar situation and I cleared it with the office.

No change as of this morning.

no change this morning :-<

no change - :-??

No change

And…still no news.

the financial portal is now up, will there be more releases of scholarships or is this it?

No change

No change here either

No change.

HOWDY !! Good luck to everyone who is still waiting! Hopefully there are still seats available for all of the options that give your students the opportunity to live the Aggie life in Aggieland: Full Admit, Gateway, Blinn-TEAM and Blinn-TEAB (Engineering at Blinn in Bryan)!

If you get offered PSA but still REALLY want to start out in CStat, check out the PTA info on the TAMU website. Those are different programs, PTA can be done at Blinn in Bryan. There are a lot of majors offered and it it looks like it is a contract for 2 years of classes and maintaining a 3.2 gpa.

One of my daughter’s teammates was denied admission to TAMU, but really wanted to be in CStat so she is on the PTA program at Blinn and will end up at TAMU. I don’t know any of her scores or stats but both of her parents and at least one grandparent were Aggies. They had put a deposit down on an apartment before they received the denial as her goal was to be in CStat. I think that she still does as much as she can on the TAMU campus without a TAMU ID and buys game tickets. Her parents have season tickets too. She gets the benefit of living in CStat in the Agiie atmosphere instead of starting out elsewhere.

GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE! I hope today is a big day for decisions!
