TAMU Holistic review candidates Class of 2022

@Ross2729 I wanted to mention to you, because it appears you have economics interests, that you might, what the heck, look at the majors that TAMUG offers for future reference. There is a maritime business-related degree that may have high job placement. Certainly some of the maritime majors down there are in very high demand, and the starting salaries for some are up near 100k.

This is so frustrating. My son has been accepted at 4 other schools within a few days of his application. Nebraska will be 10k cheaper per year for us due to all the scholarship money they offer…its amazing… but he’s been wearing the maroon since elementary school. He wants this so badly…and we wait and wait. I’m so frustrated that I want him to pick another school.

@Ross2729 …it’s just a thought, anyway.

Well whatever is going to happen, has already happened for today. The next update would be tomorrow i take it.

@MomHopesNxtGenAg Unfortunately, I did not apply to TAMUG and the deadline has passed. I do have economic interests, primarily in marketing or finance. I wasn’t aware of the high job placement there. I will be applying to TAMUG, TAMU, and UT after one successful year at Blinn. Thank you for letting me know.

I have noticed that the young people represented on this forum appear to be much more patient in general than we are. I just haven’t decided whether that’s a good thing or a bad thing!

My guess is that they will roll out tomorrow since spring break at TAMU is next week. Who knows anymore!

The last few years, it seems like the PSA decisions go out on a Friday. So I wouldn’t be surprised for there to be significant developments tomorrow.

I just came from a tour at A&M. They said some decisions will be out tomorrow.

This is my first post on this thread but I have been monitoring it closely over the past couple of weeks. My younger sister is a hopeful TAMU Holistic admit as many of you are. I wanted to share the information that we just received when we called TAMU admissions. I spoke with an admissions representative and he said, and I quote, that “the change major/withdraw application option does not necessarily indicate a PSA offer. However, it does mean that a decision will be coming soon.” He also said 95% of applicants should know by tonight or tomorrow.

I hope this alleviates some of the stress many of us have been feeling. I remember going through this process just a few years ago and it is emotionally taxing. But the end is near and have faith in the fact that you (or your child) will end up EXACTLY where they are supposed to be! This is coming from a girl who was raised an Aggie by her Aggie parents who ended up making a last minute decision to go to UT.

Thank you @hookem1519 … everyone will end up in the perfect spot!

Good luck the next few days everybody! While there will surely be some disappointing news I think some will be surprised with full admit and TEAM offers.

My son was offered PSA.
Good luck to everyone.

did anyone’s AIS update to a decision? My friends did not & her change major buttons also disappeared.

Got offered PSA, pretty upset but I’ll try to appeal. Does anyone know how to start that process

^^ I would like to know as well. If I can appeal, I want to waste no time and do it right away. AIS hasn’t updated yet.

My daughter just got PSA. A little confused as we did not see Forensic Science as an option. Time to research, and figure it all out.

no update for my son. For those of you offered PSA, what major did you apply for?

@WWOODS1 from what I have read
PSA does not mean the school has to offer your major only that they offer courses required in your degree plan. I assume that means you will be just getting your basics out of the way if they do not offer your major. It has to be over 2 long semesters and dual credit, AP exams and summer school do not apply towards the credit requirement. C-Station is the only school in the system that offers my son’s major, so the only frustrating thing would be having to wait a year to take classes in your major.
