TAMU Holistic review candidates Class of 2022

Just checked and my son received PSA

Just received PSA. Declined.Still waiting on two more schools. Good luck to all!

My daughter just checked and was offered PSA we are in Dallas. She said she never thought she’d be happy with a PSA offer but is pretty excited that her dream of being an Aggie is still alive. She has been pretty unexcited about her second choice. So question if you’re wanting to Rush do you wait till you get to College Station and rush a sophomore? Is that an option?

Did anyone’s just update? Or did y’all just happen to check for the first time tonight? Still no offer here so just wondering.

Just got PSA. I dont think she gave it too much thouht and it certainly didn’t bum her out.

My friends updated within the last hour. PSA.

Ok. Her’s just updated. Is the system school in the letter the only system school they are offering you?

@Thelma2 Hi Thelma, my daughter was offered PSA but they also mentioned she should let them know if she was interested in the BioMedical Program at McAllen. Do you know anything about this program or what kind of campus it is?

Hey yall!

I don’t know about you, but by receiving what i got, I am very ecstatic that I am given the opportunity to go out of state and have the opportunity to get another (non-Californian) perspective of life.

I got PSA and I am from Southern California, majoring in Aero Engineering. Though I’m really stoked (that’s how we say excited over here haha) that I can get my Aggie degree and ring in ‘22, I feel like I could do more than PSA, perhaps appeal for Gateway or TEAB.

In the letter, the admissions told me that I should take summer courses at a system institute to do PSA (considering that my highest math is PreCalc). I’m wondering if this could hinder my chances of getting Gateway, then becoming a full CS student.

Anyways, if anyone is willing to, I would greatly appreciate assistance in creating a very persuasive and logical appeals letter which can increase my chances of being in the CStat Area. I don’t know much about going around Texas, so I’m hoping I can get CStat!

Please pm me if you would like to, as I said before, help me draft an appeals letter. T will make a huge difference in my planning for the future. I will inform you of certain predicaments that I am I’m so that I could have help in incorporating them into my appeal letter. I don’t have much experiences in trying to appeal judgments such as what was laid down on my criteria, so all the help is appreciated!

Till then, I would like to thank you all so much for giving me and many others emotional support (yes the wait is a killer) over these past several weeks. I won’t forget this thread, and maybe in the following admissions cycles, I’ll be around CollegeConfidential to help those that may go through the current predicament that I had to endure as an applicant to TAMU.

Gig’Em!

P.S. My Stats:
Top 35% in Class (of 800)
GPAW: 3.5 / GPAUW: 3.2
Highest Math: Pre-Calculus
SAT 1140, ACT 24
4 Yrs JROTC, 2 Yrs Band, 1 Yr CSF, 1 Yr Wrestling, 1 Yr Video Game Club

We “accepted” to see the list of schools offered. I don’t believe it commits you to the program, just indicates that you want more info.

@ArrowGreen @2xAggieMom has posted several times up thread about her son’s experience.

Do I hit “request participation in PSA” to see the other schools? Or does that commit me?

That is what I want to know also. Not sure if we should click on it on not.

@ddt872 You should be offered a choice. I have not personally seen a PSA on AIS and with the schools listed. Perhaps that will update over night. Some will be offered every system school because they meet the school['s auto admit criteria, and some could be offered only 1.
I would think it will update soon.

You have to click the button…

It actually appears that Forensic Science does not participate in PSA, not all majors do. But, it was there last week and it is part of PTA. We will be making calls and look at our options. She is also considering going to Blinn for a year and the transfer.

If you click the button will you still be able to appeal if you have a medical condition?

Do they hold the PSA offer if I appeal? I don’t want the PSA to be taken off the table while I’m in the appeal process.

On AIS where it says you’ve been offered PSA, it’s a hyperlink. Click that and it takes you to the PSA page at TAMU. I would think if you click accept, that means you accept? We’ve got a lot of learnin’ to do as this is new to us. But looking forward to helping daughter in reaching her A&M goal and starting her college path at Tarleton through PSA.

Do PSA offer recipients get the cool Aggie banner in tje mail? LOL!
