Tamu spring 2020

@megangonzalez have you enrolled in college and taken any classes since high school graduation? Are you enrolled in classes now?

@AggieMomhelp yes! And most of the hours I earned in while in high school were taken on a college campus.

@nomatter yes!

How many credits have you earned after you graduated from high school, not including your dual-enrollment credits from high school, @megangonzalez ?

@megangonzalez as long as you’ve taken credits since graduation, you are a transfer student which works in your favor as long as you have taken the prereq courses for transfer (Eng 104, Math 140/166 and Psyc 107).

They may defer you for fall grades, but keeping a 3.4 or higher should gain you admittance.

@AggieMomhelp I believe I am going crazy because I have applied to A&M for four times this is now my 5th time applying. This time I am applying for forestry which requires a 2.5 GPA I have a 2.63 (last semester was rough) I got my transfer audit on 08/07 and haven’t heard back which is kinda sending me into a panic! Do you think my chances are good because I meet all the requirements or bad because I still don’t have a 3.0 +?

The wait is killing me! I applied for Electrical Engineering and got my audit on August 25. I have been checking AIS and Howdy everyday but nothing new. I have a 3.85 GPA with 55 credits and all required courses with A’s.

@whoknows971 I love your tenacity, but not sure a 2.63 is going to secure admissions. But, you never know. It’s too early to hear back. End of this month or early October would be my guess for this college. best of luck and please keep us posted.

@anonymous9991 Engineering is a tough major to transfer into out of tamu. BUT, your GPA is great so I wouldn’t panic just yet. Hang in there and keep us posted.

@AggieMomhelp, I have had 6 tabs on my howdy portal for almost 3-4 weeks, I had heard that admission decisions will be announced mid September? I have seen from previous posts that 6 tabs indicate acceptance, however my AIS has not updated, is there any information as to when admission desicions will be posted?

@Tmau_1234 hey not sure why it’s taking so long. You’re not alone. You are definitely admitted. No one has ever gotten 6 tabs and been denied. Keep us posted.

I am in the same boat. About 4 weeks ago I got my six tabs and my student email account. Ever since then I have been anxiously waiting for my AIS to update and it still has not. People keep saying it means guaranteed admittance and I am hanging onto that hope right now. It is so easy to become nervous when this process is taking longer than most people said it would. Lets hope we get those letters soon!

I just got my six tabs!!! AIS has not updated for me yet, I’m hoping the first round of acceptance letters will go out this week!!

Are you guys checking howdy too under manage applications? It’ll show major and will eventually say whoop you’ve been admitted. So there are 2 places to check. But I pinky promise. 6 tabs = admitted!!!

I don’t have that yet, but when I go to profile and then “TSI Pre Assessment activity” it says “Welcome to Texas A&M University, New Aggie!” So that’s some great news!

omg me too this better mean we are in!!

I’m pretty sure it does mean we’re in!! I’m soo excited!!

Does anyone know when we should start finding out? I feel like it should be soon.

@aggietransfer20 Transfer candidates find out randomly because the actual college you are applying to releases decisions at different times. Some transfers last Spring didn’t find out til as late as November.

If you see your first choice major change to your second, then know that your first choice major has passed on you and you are now being considered by the other major.

@AggieMomhelp I got my 6 tabs, tamu email and google drive last week. What does this all mean, and does this mean a decision is coming soon?

Okay so I went back to last years forums for spring transfer 2019 and people started getting accepted September 18th! I don’t know if they release around the same day every year but if they do then we’ll be getting a decision very soon!!!
