@aggieforlyyyfe y’all are lucky to find out already! I got my audit on August 25th and still haven’t gotten tabs. I applied for Electrical Engineering by the way. I’m hoping I don’t have to wait until November
@anonymous9991 oh yeah I have no clue about engineering. I’m pretty shocked I found out so soon for biology. I really hope you find out soon. Keep us updated
@aggieforlyyyfe I will
My son was just accepted into the College of Agriculture and Life
Sciences with a major in Agricultural Economics for Spring 2020. At the end of this semester he will have a total of 51 transferable hours and his major requires 120 hours. His plan is to finish in 4 years and his first college course was taken 6/2018. Any recommendations on which tuition code to to pick?
TLR1819 Calculated Rate Code
TLR1920 Current Year Rate Code
TVR_VARI Variable Rate Code
I believe you choose the year they entered college so 18/19. It should say this if I remember correctly with my daughter as a transfer.
So, I was reading some old threads and saw that it usually takes about 10-14 days after you receive your transfer audit to even get the 6 tabs. Is this true?
@tcho07 the time you receive your audit to time of acceptance is unrelated.
I got 6 tabs today!
So my app was complete on 9/14 and got the audit on 9/15. If I re-submitted an essay and they received it on 9/19, would that delay my admission process?
Probably.
I wanted to chime in here and say congrats to all who have been accepted, and for those waiting, be patient - you may find out tomorrow or close to mid-December. Yes, they wait that long - my daughter applied as a biochemistry major (falls under College of Agriculture and Life Sciences) and did not find out until November 29th. But there were a few acceptances until 12/6-7, I think. And if you get accepted that late, don’t worry about apartments - my daughter found one last minute with her BFF (who also transferred same time). Hang in there and GOOD LUCK!
Update!!! I got accepted to TAMU! I just want to tell those who don’t get accepted that no matter what if you want to go to A&M keep trying. This was my 5th time applying and I’m finally going to my dream school. Don’t lose hope!
Howdy all!
I’m a 2020 spring transfer candidate for Spatial Sciences in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. I met with the academic advisor in person, and upon looking at my GPA, realized that the 2.6 I had received from my former institution was inaccurate due to grade replacement and I was sitting at a 2.41 (2.5 required for admittance). I was told to go ahead and submit my application even though it was below, which may have given me a sense of false hope, but my application was completed 9/21 and I received my audit yesterday, 9/23. I was told by admissions that what stands out on my application is that I have sea time on a Navy non combatant supply ship working as a civilian mariner, directly correlating to my major with the application of GPS and GIS, but that was before I realized my GPA wasn’t accurate (I discovered it in the academic advisor meeting which occurred the next day). Anyway, I wanted a realistic look to see if A&M has ever let someone in with a below GPA. I have plenty of extra circulars and I’m hoping to join the corps to pursue NROTC, which already had a look at me and I’m a good candidate for a two year scholarship, and also of notice is I’ve already been accepted twice. Once during my senior of HS into Blinn Team for Agriculture, and then the second time during the fall semester of my freshman year for Business Administration in spring 2018. Any help I can get from y’all or blunt honest advice would be amazing!
@LeanMcLean21 Are you currently taking any courses and how many credits will you have at end of fall and how many did you have when you applied?
Also, why didn’t you accept your admission offers before? AND, in your essay did you provide good reason as to why your GPA is low?
One more thing, have you looked at TAMU Galveston? Seems like a good fit for you!
@AggieMomhelp I am currently taking 9 hours at a community college (Two GOVTs and one SPCH) and I’ll have 97 credit hours, however only since it was basically boat school for two years I only have up to my junior year completed as far as my core requirements go and probably a few more electives.
I didn’t accept the first time around because I thought I wanted to go to my former institution, and the second time around I wasn’t financially able to and had to stay at my school. I did include my reasons in my essay for my low GPA and admissions even gave me feedback on my essay before I sent it in.
I have looked at TAMU-G but I’ll be completely honest, I have no intention of ever going into the maritime industry and don’t want to study that any further, but I am sure it’s a great school!
Thanks for the info. have you received your transfer audit yet? If so, how many credits does it say because most majors you can’t transfer into with 60 plus but some are 70ish.
I just looked at your major… doesn’t list max hours for transfer so that’s great!
@aggiemomhelp My audit was generated yesterday and I got it today! Thanks for looking into that, I had no idea that some majors have a cap!
Did your audit show 91 hours?
Total transferable is 88 on my current audit
