TAMU Spring 2021 Transfer

Anyone know when Computer Sci transfer decisions come out? Are they also rolling decisions? Thank you

Just checked this morning and I have 6 tabs in Howdy!! Let’s hope that’s a good sign!

When exactly did you apply and get your transfer report audit? Also if you have the 6 tabs in your portal then that means you have been accepted and should be expecting an acceptance letter soon so Congrats!

So my friend applied on October 1st for Technology Management and she received her transfer report audit on October 7th. Any idea on when she should hear a decision since her AIS says her application has been in review for almost 2 weeks now?

@Skyfell my application was complete and in review September 14. My audit was posted September 16. I check everyday so I know today was when I got the 6 tabs. No update in AIS yet though.

Also, for your friend most people hear back between 1 1/2-2 months from when they go into review. Luckily I basically knew within a month and I applied for college of education.

@Sarah1973 Ah okay so it took you about a month to receive a decision and yeah my friend applied for college of education and human development, but didn’t submit her application when applications opened up. Hopefully my friend hears a decision within a month haha

Just got my acceptance letter this morning! There were 4 required classes but I only had 1 complete and none of the other 3 are in progress right now so I didn’t think I would get in! A person in the education department said only on very rare occasions do they accept people without the 4 required classes complete! I’m so happy! A&M and UT are my top choices!!!

Here are my stats for anyone wondering:

Hi! Could someone help me with my chances?

GPA: 3.67
Hours: 27 completed with 15 this fall at Blinn
Applying to Liberal Arts school as a Communication major.
I applied for Fall but was denied, and took the required course I was missing over the summer.
My application went into Review this morning (10/14).

Has anyone applied to the college of engineering and heard back???

@lomo00 I think you have a great chance of transfer acceptance. So you’ll have 42 credits in December, right?

Son applied as an SMU Economics transfer with a 4.0 GPA. How fast would we hear back?

@ponyexpress12 when did he apply? Usually people hear back between 1-2 months I think

Hello, I’m a math major at UT-Dallas, and I am looking to transfer to TAMU for Math (general/pure). I have 76 credit hours earned, (+12 being taken this semester), 43 from classes taken at UTD, and 33 from AP Credit (+6 hours worth of AP credit UT-Dallas did not accept: AP Env Sci and AP Euro Hist). My primary concern is my relatively low GPA of a 3.2. Prior to the summer semester it was a 3.6. Over the summer I took 11 hours of coursework, which normally would be manageable but the effects of COVID-19 quarantine really negatively affected me, specially the social isolation and being stuck in my room all day. My grades tanked and I recieved Cs in all 3 classes (two of the classes being quite relevant to math) which lowered my overall GPA to a 3.2. A problem is I haven’t seen many math transfers is the previous TAMU transfer threads, so I can’t really compare my stats with anyone. Any idea on what my chances are?

@anon2332 your concern should be at your number of credits. Please refer to max transfer hours for math. I haven’t looked. But will tomorrow. 3.2 is a decent gpa especially if Cs came during pandemic. It was a crazy semester.

@ponyexpress12 not sure how quickly econ will make decisions but you’ll be fine. SMU is a great school and 4.0 is amazing.

Yes ma’am! 42 credits in december.

Has anyone applied for college of education & human development recently and received a decision yet?

Does anyone know when the Lab Safety required tab will open?

Howdy! I applied to A&M as a transfer for Spring 2020 from Lone Star with 15 credits and I will have 31 credits by the end of the fall semester. I applied for Psychology with currently a 3.6 GPA and I think I wrote a pretty solid essay. Does anyone know my chances of getting in? I’m pretty nervous about receiving my decision, so if anyone could give me any tips, what to expect, or anything else I could do at this point to further strengthen my application, I would really really appreciate it!

I submitted everything on October 16 and I received my audit on October 22.

@htxg123 My son applied 10/15 and his 6 tabs in Howdy showed up yesterday! He was transfer into Sociology with a 3.0

Yeah! I just found there are 6 tabs on howdy!!! I submitted the final document on the end of July as an international student.

I applied to the college of agriculture and life sciences. It was really long time for waiting. I hope this is a good news!
