<p>D just called as she was on her way home as one of her best friends called to check on her. Friend said she was walking in the neighborhood then suddenly hear a big explosion and everyone broke out and started running.</p>
<p>There was a transformer explosion @ 41 st and 3rd ave. FDNY has closed down 3rd ave from 41st to 47th street. There will probably be delays on the Metro North.</p>
<p>This happening at the height of rush hour after all of the rain this morning (that totally threw off the subway line), it is not a good day for mass transit.</p>
