<p>By acceptance do you mean simple TAP alternate acceptances or chances of getting in with TAP alternate: They’re two different things. </p>
<p>Acceptance, I would say 40/50%; chances, I’d give it 60-85%.</p>
<p>The reason why acceptance rates are lower is because a lot of people don’t follow the guidelines for TAP; a lot of the time, applicants put an impacted major as their alternate and are rejected, or they haven’t finished the prerequisites for said alternate. </p>
<p>Follow the rules set by UCLA, and you should have a running chance at getting in with your alternate.</p>
