<p>Hello</p>

<p>I am a senior at a high school in Canada.</p>

<p>Because I came to my current school after the IB candidates were selected, the next ‘viable’ option for me was to take grade 12 courses. Hence I am graduating a year early.</p>

<p>Can you recommend me target and reach schools? (Preferably LACs, possibly state schools)</p>

<p>Is it unfeasible for me to gain EA admission to PSU and Oxford college of Emory? SHould I wait till my semester 1 report card comes out?</p>

<p>Here are my current stats:</p>

<p>SAT –> 1920 (Fail!!!)</p>

<p>Grade 10 in a prep school in New Zealand (Semester 1 Dux)</p>

<p>Honours English 10 - (A)
Honoours Math 11 - (A+)
Honours Science 10 - (A+)
Honours Social Studies 10 - (A+)</p>

<p>Semester 1 of Grade 11 in an international school in New Zealand</p>

<p>Pre IB English - (7)

<p>Will your parents pay for wherever you get in? If not, how much will your parents pay each year?</p>

<p>It’s all about the money. Are you able to pay the tuition or are you going to need financial aid?</p>

<p>My parents told me to apply to BU’ CGS, but I’m pretty sure I won’t get in.</p>

<p>I am planning to major in linguistics/anthropology.</p>

<p>What would be a ‘good’ score for colleges like PSU, UIUC’ DGS and Dickinson college?</p>

<p>Are schools like PSU and UIUC more prestigious than the University of Toronto? Are they worth the extra money?</p>

<p>I am pretty much guaranteed a spot a UT.</p>

<p>I think that getting into BU’s general studies program is quite easy. You will probably get in. You seem to be interested in large state universities. They usually require applicants who are not residents to have higher grades than average, but you definitely should be able to get into some. It is a matter of opinion whether the cost would be worth it over Toronto. People tend to love PSU though- morale is very high. U Maryland College Park may be of interest to you.</p>
