Hi all, I just wanted to share my list of colleges that I have compiled so far. I have no idea where I fall in terms of student wise and figured you all could help out. I have a 3.5 GPA and a 31 ACT as the captain of both baseball and basketball teams, president of Full Court Peace Club, member of French Honor Society, and member of 3 other clubs. I have completed 6 AP classes and gotten 5 on all of the tests. So far I have…

Academic interests or career goals?

Colgate – in case you overlooked this in your research – doesn’t field a varsity baseball team, should this be a factor for you. Perhaps more relevantly, the school appears to be about as academically competitive as some of your listed reaches:

Colgate is probably more of a reach than a target.

Elon and Clemson may not be safetys and Colgate and Tulane may be reaches. Your ACT is good and your AP results are outstanding but I fear your GPA is in the low end. It is my understanding that higher test scores with lower grades gives the impression of intellect without corresponding effort. If there is a reason that your grades don’t match your test scores you may want to share that with your admissions counselor.
