<p>I asked and there is no T or WM stores in New Haven.</p>
<p>Try locating a nearby store using a zipcode (06520 for Yale). There are convenient (if you have a car), close-by (within 6 miles) Targets and Walmarts, and Bed Bath & Beyond, in the area. You can get to them by bus, as well, but that is not so convenient. The campus B&N Book Store also carries a pretty large assortment of small dorm room stuff, and Ikea is a short cab or bus ride away.</p>
<p>Yale is located in the center of a city that dates back over 300 years. Cities like that do not, in general, have big-box stores at their centers.</p>

<p>I put this info in another thread, but we found a great map that has those stores labeled right on the map. It is at cttransit dot com. Follow the link for the New Haven route map. It’s a map of the bus routes, but could be useful to drivers also. Many of the stores are not technically in New Haven, but are in Milford, Hamden, or Orange, all fairly close by.</p>
