But it’s all good, I suppose. Everytime I think of TASP this absurd grin materializes across my lips… heehee.

Nate - you’re actually driving today? I haven’t left my house, I figured I’d die if I did. I just did math homework and then procrastinated when faced with a Turgenev essay. For Galton. Meaning that if it doesn’t profoundly change the way people think about the work of Turgenev, it will get a B and lots of snark in the margins.

Comisar knows about the 4 inches of snow we got last friday. It was crazy, a little snow and all of California shuts down…

JP

but last year in the hills it snowed, so we all ditched 6th (I didnt, I had an “excused” absence) and we drove up filled some guys pick up full of snow and drove back down and had a snow ball fight. I felt so east coast. :-P

“Meaning that if it doesn’t profoundly change the way people think about the work of Turgenev, it will get a B and lots of snark in the margins.”

I’m guessing that you guys go to the same school.

This reminds me of a teacher at my school, Mr. Coffin. When he grades poetry, the artistic hopeful’s dreams are punctured by a big red “D-” and the note: “This poem is unoriginal and immature.” Or something to that effect.

I got “horrible data” on one of my chem labs, and a friend got “pathetically inadequite.”

WHAT?

Corey, you guys had snow? What? :(

iriseyes - yes, we do. And Galton is famous for his, um, demanding assignments. Like giving people a day to read 200 pages of the Iliad.

Are you serious?

…that’s harsh.

OMG you guys got snow in the south bay, Corey?

Haha I admit we got a tiny bit awhile back but the East Bay’s been pretty dry. I’ve never had a snow day.

Tonight saved Lost for me. The show has been sucking lately, but…

…tonight’s episode was the most freaking incredible thing I have ever seen.

A MASTERPIECE.

Sorry to be so off-topic. =) I just wanted to harass you CA people who won’t get to see it for another two hours. LOL

iriseyes - yeah. And then he just does eccentric assignments. Like this Turgenev paper, in which we are not allowed to use the word “nihilism”. Despite the fact that it’s probably the most used word in Fathers and Sons.

wow polkahard, its only 8:30 here in Cali, but I can’t wait for that episode!

Trust me, you won’t be disappointed. SOMEBODY is implied to die! Not saying anything else!

Oh, and in the preview for next week, it claimed that THREE of the island’s biggest mysteries will be answered. Why am I so excited about a TV show?

i thought the whole old lady thing was pretty lame, but the episode managed to recover

Am I the only one who watched the pilot episode of Lost and, you know, really disliked it? I personally get more excited about The Office than about any show I’ve ever watched, with the possible exception of Arrested Development.

The Office<3

The Office is incredible. I should know, I’m from where it’s set…so pretty much everyone here is CRAZY about it. Rainn Wilson (Dwight!) had an autograph signing at our mall back in December, which was amazing. And apparently, the cast will be filming a St. Patrick’s episode here…or so the rumors say.

And Arrested Development? Probably my second favorite show (after 24)…I missed Season 3, but just got it on DVD. Through the first three episodes and let me tell you, there is no funnier show that has ever been on TV.

Scrantonnnnnn!!!

Yeah Corey, I had to dig my snowboots out of the closet.

iriseyes-- your chem teacher sounds awful! On my last chem lab I lost credit for “too much detail.” lmao

polkahard - wow, that’s pretty awesome. I read some interview with Wilson in which he says he’s really uncomfortable with how similar Dwight’s taste is to his own - that is, they both love Lost, Battlestar Galactica, etc. How Dwight-like was he?

24 is my show.

I’m <3ing this flurry of posts. Ahh flurry…snow…yea…um…no joke…yea…
