You totally could…I would drive you myself, except I can’t drive. Maybe we can get to 200 pages by ourselves, Corey. That would be exciting.

LOL. hella ya
So whats up at Monta Vista, right?

Have you been to Q-pop… and had the eggplant?

Q-pop? Eggplant? What?

I’m so out of it…are those references to some popular culture item/restaurant/store that I’m supposed to know about but don’t because I have no social life and instead spend my hours waiting next to the mailbox for my TASP rejection letter?

I’m lost. I don’t remember the TASP board last year being this long…

Anyone waiting for a letter from Telluride need not worry. I seriously thought after my interview I was going to be rejected wholeheartedly by the folks at TA. As long as you were sincere and somewhat coherent in your essays, you should be fine. I know some of the people reading your essays, and that’s what they look for, among other things.

–utasper '06

Thank you for the reassurance, justanotherCCer.

Corey, did you die? Did you pay somebody to give you a ride to school and then got caught (since that person only has their permit) and thus got arrested and sent to juvenile detention? Do you not realize that by getting sent to juvi you essentially have no hope of attending TASS, even with your acceptance letter? How could you do such a stupid thing? I’m rather ashamed of you, Corey.

I wonder why I ever thought of you as my friend.

TEAR

I’m watching 24, quite possibly the best show ever. I know our attempt at dominating the next 7 pages have been shattered but just know that I’m here for you. I still need to go to the school, or get a fax.

Hopefully the fax will work. Dang Kanji.

Q-pop is in a shopping center at Prospect and De-anza (Saratoga-Sunnyvale)

Ah, I see. I do not watch 24. I actually do not watch TV. I prefer to spend my hours watching the driveway for the mailman to drive up, or constantly refreshing the computer screen every 6 seconds to see if people have posted on this TASP thread.

Lol.

Alas my return once again.

I just drove to the school and got my binder. Now off to Japanese.

Wait freaks out I dont know if I have the packet I need to study off of. SHOOT.

tako, I sympathize with your obsessive-compulsiveness regarding interview/rejection.

On another note, I do not have TV at home. We kind of realized no one was watching it and just cancelled it.

I’ve decided to put off APUSH notes for tomorrow and instead, sleep early.

… is it canceled or cancelled? traveled or travelled?

confuses self but is rather pleased at contributing to thread

Oh man, I totally do that too aeshchina! I prefer to sleep early and wake up early. Sleep at 11 and wake up at 5 instead of sleeping at 1 and waking up at 7. Just makes me feel better for some strange reason.

I’m actually not OCD about interview/rejection because I am so sure of being rejected that there is nothing to be OCD about. Or am I? See, the problem with internet is that you can never be sure of what a person is truly like.

Oh, I wrote my TASP essay on that…except not internet in general, but AIM. TASP keeps on haunting me. It shows up everywhere…I almost hope I don’t get an interview so that I don’t have to reread my essays, which I know were basically pure crap because I suck at writing.

Ah well.

Thats the spirit
…
Traveled
Canceled
…

I do that sleep thang all the time. Too bad i haven’t woken up early in a long while.

I rarely watch TV, only thing I watch regularly is 24.
Nvmnd I find TV as the perfect outlet for my mass-media fascination as well as my never ending quest to slim down to Mary Kate size with out throwing up.

now that I think of it, the only tv I actually watch is lost.

I used to have an american idol fascination, but I think I grew out of that.

Interesting. Actually the reason I don’t watch TV is because my parents don’t let me (on weekdays - and nothing good is on weekends, so I don’t even bother).

I cannot wait until college when I will watch tv everyday. Or not. We’ll see.

lol .

Yeah, I look forward to college for so many reasons:

(roughly in this order)

Freedom of food. No more chinese food every single day.

Freedom to watch TV whenever I want to.

My own dorm. Free for me to decorate.

A potentially extremely cool roommate.

Freedom to get a boyfriend who will buy me stuff.

No more being surrounded by Asian people. (not to be racist…it’s just tiring being surrounded by your own race constantly).

Cool classes with (hopefully) smart people.

I’ll probably get a laptop and a monthly allowance.

I can buy my own clothes (which I do now…except I’m loath to buy stuff sometimes because my mom is very disapproving of my clothing style…jeans + tshirt + jacket, basically :D)

Educational purposes.

^ I love the way you ranked #10. XD.

lmao Corey, it’s Q-cup, not Q-pop. sigh try as we may, we non-Asians will never measure up.

Q-cup, my bad. I still <3 the tofu. Q-cup Tofu is the Best.

6 Tako. Lol. You need to go to Spelman or something to not be surrounded by Asian ppl at college.

I also disprove of your style. What happened to your White-T nikes and doo-rag. At least thats what all the Asian kids wear around here the dumb posers.

We just did 6 pages in 2 days, dang we all have a common goal (well multiple for that reason.) First, to reach 200 pages and than secondary, to get an interview. Glad to see we all have our priorities set straight

OHH thecomisar, yes, I have heard of Q-cup. That makes more sense. :)

Anyway, sleep time <3

Good night all! 6 6/7 pages to go!

Haha, Corey…actually, any college that has less than 20% Asian people sounds wonderful. MV is just…60% Asian I think? Crazy. Too much for me sometimes.
