Tasp 2007

now that I think of it, the only tv I actually watch is lost.

Taggart, when I read that, I thought your TV was lost. Like you lost your dog and were posting up signs. Har har.

But shows about people on stranded islands are always cool. The most recent TV I’ve watched is Heroes, on a laptop.

Aah yes, Iriseyes, I dance. I’m a rather wannabe, just started a year and a half ago. I really want to focus on classical technique, but things like academics and summer program applications plus all the anxieties those entail have taken up my time. Therefore I like to classify myself as “modern” although I’m not much of anything.

Hehe, I can do splits on both sides though, and got pretty close to center. Cirque du Soleil (if you’re serious), do you do trapeze? I used to live (at a different summer program) with a trapeze artist… absolutely amazing. How long have you been dancing, and are you on pointe?? If you are, I’m jealous! I’m not good enough for pointe yet, haha.

I like to dance. Mainly Hip Hop informal sort of throw down stuff.

Love to move though.

Also this whole Freaking thing is disgusting. Like to freak is one thing but to FREAK, wow seriously get a room. Dance is an expression of one’s self and damn if thats how you feel on the inside you need some help.
I will admit I dance and ‘freak’ but none of this raunch stuff. Eww.

I…cannot dance.

Makes me wonder why I asked somebody to Sadies. Perhaps I will just hide in a bathroom stall for three hours.

Lol. tako get your grove on.

I think hiding in a bathroom stall sounds slightly more appealing.

Oh man, I need costume ideas. We were going to do tooth fairy + sandman, but then I found out that somebody was doing tooth fairy + dentist! (theme is occupations) Tragic! Then I wanted to do Pokemon Masters, but my date doesn’t want to. We also wanted to do aviators but couldn’t find goggles. This sucks. We might just have to resort to tooth fairy + sandman, but then we won’t be original anymore :(

Tako, I totally feel your pain.

I’m not on pointe; I started too late and so it’s taking me a long time to break my arch in. I’ve been dancing for a few years but only got serious this year.

I can do trap, but my training was really in unicycle and a little bit of spanish web. My twin sister is more of the trap person. She does single and flying and also practices diablo on the side. She went to performing arts camp (French Woods) and I went to a traditional girls’ camp that only taught unicycle and spanish web as their circus acts for serious girls, before moving to visual arts camp (Buck’s Rock) to pursue jewelry at (at the time) an unprofessional level.

Woo! summer camp.

EDIT: Sometimes I steal her pointe shoes and just dance until it hurts. Probably not a good idea. >_>;;

You are too cool for me.

does strange practices to make her feet more ideal for pointe shoes while gazing wi**lly at pictures in the discountdance catalog

Um. Since when is w.i.s.t.f.u.l.l.y an inappropriate word? or what does **** mean?

Whoa, what was edited for the children’s eyes there?!

s - t - f- u = shut the eff up.

I don’t swear though, just clarifying.

OH.

That’s actually hilarious. As they say on AIM: “I lol’ed.”

yep…totally random.

=)

this thread is really random. i wonder if tasp administrators are reading it lol

Lol Tako. GL on a costume.

In 6th grade I did a small vignette and I was the sand man. I threw funky sand and sang in an ominous voice.

“When Night Comes softly creeping/All children should be sleeping/Sweet dreams for peaceful slumber/Shall come with out number”

I wouldn’t mind if TA read this. Lol, Candid for sure. But from what I have heard from the infamous Aida, nothing on here compares to what happens at the real deal

I like How we have cranked out 7 pages in 48 hours.

That would be kind of funny. They would know who I am since my username has is so similar to my application. There are 3 obvious clues right there.

That would be cool if your Name was Karen and your birthday was 6/1/1990

haha wouldn’t it. (lol…you just got two clues)

I don’t have that skill some people have at coming up with good user names. I choose this one like, 10 years ago for aim and now my username for every single site is this.

that would be HILARIOUS. (TASP reading this. My post got displaced while I was typing.)

What would be more hilarious would be if harvard was reading it, harvard2727.

I wish I could change my screen name.

My current obsession is the name “Thoreau,” “Thor” for short. I am seriously contemplating naming my kid that. Except my sister says that “Thor” sounds like a male stripper’s name -_-

Wow, unicycle. Sounds like a broken nose (or back).

I mysteriously do not feel at all anxious about Friday; not out of confidence in my application, but rather out of confidence in my rejection. It’s a calming thought. Strangely enough, I feel like a dog waiting to be put down (I’m not suicidal or emo, I’m just dreading Friday). Make it or not, I’m happy I applied; daydreaming about TASP was worth the 6 essays. At least there won’t be anything to be nervous about in a few weeks when interviews take place.

There is my daily contribution. Now off to study for my calculus and econ test tomorrow! Wish me luck!!!

I love mine: Giantredlobster.

I have no idea about the history or legacy of my name but I do know that nowhere do I have to use #@450#$?$$ Or What ever after it. So nice, makes me feel original.
