Tasp 2007

^^ same, my critical analysis one sucked.

I put down UT as my top choice so hopefully on monday I can come to you for advice justanotherCCer

I can’t believe that tonight, the night that many people found out if they got an interview or not, noone is on this thread. Yesterday night, on the other hand, it was full of life. Come on people!

i had a debate tournament, so i couldn’t call (mostly because i stayed up till 5:30 am and only got 2 hours of sleep…so i really forgot to call).

:(

Well, considering I got flat-out rejected, I don’t really want to talk about it anymore…:P

Awww Yanners. Please don’t you, or anyone else, take rejection personally. I’m a firm believer in the idea that everything happens for a reason and as I said to Dylan earlier, there just may be even better things in store for you! So don’t lose heart.

No matter what TASP says, you’re all still amazing individuals - don’t forget that!

Don’t worry yanners, I can definitely sympathize with you. After all, we are in the same boat :D

Quick question - When it asks for juniors/seniors/etc, is it asking for people currently in jr/sr year or people that will be entering jr/sr year?

current juniors
apps are over for this year

Thanks. I’m aware that apps are over, I was just wondering for future reference and for other programs.

Hey, does anybody want to have an essay trading party so we can discuss each other’s essay/prep for the interview?

I’d like that  IM me later

Don’t worry too much about the critical analysis… I wasn’t too fond of mine, either, but that apparently didn’t hurt too much :)

The Critanal no matter how you slice or dice it, its pretty boring. No life in that essay.

Yeah, true.

No one was posting bcuz it is (or rather it was, just got home) Friday night…

AIM chatroom for interview prep/essay trading?

Ha ha, maybe later actually. I have a sadies costume to make -_-

tako, did you write an essay on Stephen King’s endings? Or for that matter, did anyone else here?

oh man…i’m already getting the pre-interview jitters. >_< i guess i’m off to go proofread my critnal or something like that. :P

So. What does one wear to an interview? Like nice-ish pants & collared shirt type thing?

^
Well…that’s what I would assume one would wear? That’s what I was planning on, anyway. Suit jacket and blouse, or nice sweater. That is officially the question of the day… Do we need to bring anything with us? Ack.

Haha,

A portfolio. Copies of essays. Relevant quotes. Art if you do it. Brochures or pamphlets on any clubs you participate in. Gifts. Music if you do, preferably live so bring an instrument. Ect.

I would suggest bringing a small rolling suit case, with all this inside, than have it organized well so you don’t have to rummage to much.
