haha, good to know for us from NJ and CA. having a huge population sucks for college. Sometimes I wish I lived in the middle of nowhere so I could get into Columbia.

Any CA people heard back yet? They said they’d call me today, haven’t heard back though

tako made it. She’s from CA.

She made it, but has she been contacted by her interviewer?

I’m in CA and haven’t heard from him/her yet.

OH…that I don’t know. Sorry I misunderstood the question.

lol, i believe it was three people from the same school. they try to ensure geographic diversity, but obviously if there are more applicants than expected from one state/area, they’re not going to directly compare you side to side.

karen: (refer to page 219) sorry this is kind of late, but my book list had 31 books on it, if i remember correctly. and 12 were for school. I’m just “eh” about it all because I do such a poor job remembering book details… :(

Does anyone know if all the interviewers call to set up interviews, or if some of them email? Just wondering.

ugh…okay. Most of my books were for school because we have to read so many books that I have no time to read them for fun. That was before I procrastinated on CC too. All the books I read on my own were during the summer. Whatever.

haha what is “ugh” supposed to mean? karen, i know what you mean. i’m not sure what they meant by “recent” books, so i just included stuff i read over the summer as well. it seemed a good idea at the time i submitted the application…but so long afterward, i’m realizing that all the details are going out of my head at an alarming rate.
time to brush up on literature, folks!

ugh- idk just a sigh type thing. It’s easy to type

I probably didn’t get an interview so I don’t have to review any books! I normally don’t remember books either but the ones I put down I actually do remember. Well the ones I read outside of school. That’s probably because I liked them; I can’t remember the Mark Twain ones because I hate him.

mark twain’s tight.

I found him really really boring but to each his own.

Hey, y’all. There’s a tasp chat going on:

aim:gochat?roomname=tasp

how do you join a chat room (I just got Aim. iChat decided to commit suicide)

my aim is in the process of committing suicide. what’s going on in the tasp room, since i can’t get in?

PS karen - lol i knew what ugh meant…just referring to it in context. but thank you nevertheless for clarifying. i like twain too, but sometimes in the context of school, it gets tedious. X(

lol. it so does.

FOR EVERYONE WHO DOESN’T KNOW ABOUT IT, THERE IS A NEW SITE FOR TASPERS. http://ericw.freepgs.com/tasplicants/index.php

wow… talk about mass advertisement. -.-

Lol. I only miss one day and already there’s like…four pages.

I’m so afraid I’m not going to get an email/letter, so I’m going to call TASP, and have them tell me, “Oh, sorry, there’s been a mistake.”

Indeed. My worst nightmare as of now.

lol

How many forms of communication can tie us together.

CC
AIM
‘THEWU’ BOARDS
PHONE (Haha only for the lucky few)

We should all just meet this summer XD

GL to those who find out on Monday

Also don’t worry if your interviewer hasn’t called.
For TASS my letter was dated the 26th of February, and I still haven’t been contacted.
The one who did get called has a very diligent interviewer.

Oh Tako, you and your emocidal tendencies

Yes, I might be inclined to…slash my wrists if something like that should happen.

And today sucked. We had FBLA Bay Section, and I got 9th in my competition (which is not good enough to make states) and my mom’s hecka ****ed at me now and might be forcing me to quit track. But I don’t want to! She thinks I don’t have enough time to study :/
