Tasp 2007

Yay! Being pathetic with someone else automatically makes you less pathetic.

FSHO my friend. Fsho.

OH MY GOSH 6 Days 7 Hours 25 Minutes & 28 Seconds Until the Fate of TASP is Sealed!

And my fate, too.

Incidentally, the new sage francis album just leaked - if anyone’s interested/cares.

SID WHERE!!! AHHH Sage is the shiat, Im in love. gawd where can I get it… Im facebooking you just to find out :-P

I just got home too. We had a lacrosse game at 5 (won 17-2-- I think thats better then you iris)
Then I had to go straight to a fieldtrip at 7 to watch these plays.
Have a huge Jap presentation which im doing bymyself (4 person group) cause I dont trust any of them with my jap grade.
And a Chem Lab

EWWWW

Woah Tako to the second, but not to break your bubble do you really think some computer is going to email us straight at midnight, my guess would be end of business day monday (like college)

Also tomorrow is Career Day, I feel like not going. “My Career is to be a truck driver so what better way then to drive off campus”
Interesting alibi Eh?

^ Have fun with all that.

I think I’m going to bed early guys… good night all! (By that I mean I’m going to get off the computer and start doing all the dozens of things I have to do before going to bed, including practicing piano and taking a shower.)

Night Lauren  I’m sleeping soon too.

AND the countdown is until the time when we can call in and ask.

OH MY GOODNESS! A week from now, TASP will have been decided (which sort of means I have to find alternate summer plans, and soon), a few days until SAT’s, and a few more until my first AP! My nerves are on the borderline of quitting on me, and my ulcer-ridden stomach is finding trouble holding down food (okay, I exaggerate, but you understand). With 6 AP’s and my first time taking the SAT’s all coming up in a matter of weeks, I have a hard time deciding what to study first, AND TASP IS NOT HELPING IN THE CONCENTRATION DEPARTMENT! I have never felt so distracted!

Anyway, venting has calmed me for the time being. What AP’s are you guys most worried about? I think chem/phys/calc should be easy because I hear the science and math curves are really nice (apparently, getting like 60-70% on the AP Chem test = 5!!!). I’m a little bit worried about Macroecon because our teacher JUST STARTED teaching it, which means major self-studying. And same goes for world history. I guess I’m most worried about world history because those three essays sound like hell, especially since I have to write Microecon right after that. Anyway (again), TASP decisions are starting to freak me out, and the whole karma control thing that you guys mentioned is not enough to keep me studying and away from this board, lol. It’s sort of like making up a new religion out of OCD symptoms (cross fingers, toes, legs, and arms an odd number of times equaling a multiple of 7 for 70 seconds straight or you shall be cast out of TASP before ever making it in). The whole TASP excitement deal is really starting to wear me out, especially since being a finalist has that thread of being in the home stretch and yet being so far at the same time. Either way, O M G! TASP SAT’S AP’S… deeeeeep breath.

Resume talk of chemistry homework.

P.S. My googling incident TOTALLY whooped everyone else’s ‘Oh Crud’ moment. Glory is mine, in terms of terribly awkward avoid-at-all-costs moments during your TASP interview. I have just come to a realization, I had the worst oh crud moment… Befittingly and ironically… oh crud.

They so will not email you at midnight, kids. Decisions will most likely come, say, Tuesday in the afternoon (since it’s May 1st) via email. Relax. ;p Remember, these are real people, too, so they won’t be giving out decisions at ungodly hours just because. They’re NORMAL. ;P

Anyway. I’m off to finish a mini History essay. toodles!

Uber, I took the World History AP exam last year, and if I remember correctly it was much much easier than expected. The essays are graded pretty leniently, and the multiple choice wasn’t bad either. I didn’t really use any study materials besides my notes.

GASP

I emailed TA (you know, just for fun) and now they say you can call in May 1? No wayy I already had my heart set on Monday.

If I have to wait another day…dies

Tako, her name was lisa hua and she would have graduated four years ago. It would be the weirdest coincidence if you knew her!

Im probably most worried about the AP Bio exam… haha the Chem exam last year was hard for me, but probably because Im a dunce at chem and our teacher sucked.

My comma key on the keyboard isnt working… its the weirdest thing!

Awww, how ever will we survive??

Uber, you’re taking 6 APs? Crazy. Is that typical at your school? Here hardly anyone does more than three…

And Uber youre not the only one who googled your interviewers (I googled megan too and found the story I think youre talking about and her myspace teeheehee), I just didnt mention it to her :D

I told my interviewer I googled her when we were still making arrangements to meet. Cheer up, uber. Curiousity is not a faux pas.

haha, how did she react when you told her?

I wonder if our interviewers googled us, too, to see if something they found would contradict the way we portrayed ourselves to them…

I wonder if Telluride has access to Facebook and stuff the way colleges do!

colleges have access to facebook?

Ohh yes, even if you make your page private. I think the same is true of myspace.

that sucks

Yeah kind of… knowing that, it’s surprising to see some of the things people post on Facebook.

Ahhh speaking of Facebook, it’s driving me crazy that the school blocked that site… I have email notifications of a wall posting/message from my friend who’s been gone for like two weeks in Germany, and I want to see what she said!

I am guessing that I will be checking my decision almost exactly one week from the current time.
I have five AP exams but the only one worth worrying about is AP English Language because that has such a low percentage of people recieving fives on it. For most APs, being in the top 10-15 percent will give you a five.
