Okay so my grounded-ness is sort of lose (not complaining) But I dont think they know im on the computer.

Yes, I’m lewisDOTS on AIM. I’ll log on in a few minutes… I have to start up the other computer.

Yay, loose groundedness is an improvement! Just have a homework-ish window ready to open up.

Yep :)

Lauren, I feel so silly now ><

haha, 'tis ok.

:)

Yay, I feel released.

LALALALA. I think I’ll just sleep two hours tonight, and study my butt off :)

You’re far too hardworking! I could never manage to study for so long, staying on task… (like right now for instance… I do 60 seconds of math, then check CC. Then repeat.)

UMMM THAT’S ME TOO, LAUREN.

Which is why, in spite of having “studied” for 4ish hours, I have only been able to go through one practice exam :P

Yay, a fellow inefficient person! :D

Sooo today my lit teacher passed back our essays, and on mine she circled the word “unused”, and wrote above it “NOT A WORD.” ***??

What! “Unused” is so a word…

Seriously!

What an outrage. Go back and shove it in your teacher’s face :)

That’s what I did! She said I spelled “fulfil” wrong (supposed to be “fulfill”) but then I showed her that the dictionary ALLOWS FOR BOTH SPELLINGS.

HA TAKE THAT. It was satisfying.

Hey Tako, I was the vice president of the school back in montana. It was fun. My job was basically to be the secretary, take minutes, make announcements, plan prom. I did a lot more work than the president, who was elected because he was popular but really was dumb as a brick. >_>;; People elected ME thinking I would fight the man, but mostly I was like, “GODDAMN! WHY ARE THERE NO PROM VENUES IN MONTANA?!” But I did fight the man in the end so it’s ok. sigh

Would anybody like to help me plan the east coast tasplicant meetup? Now this is a serious matter (as in, going to happen for real), as opposed to the TRASP (not that that’s not amazing or anything.)

So are we meeting before TASP or after?

I’m thinking that we should do a little pre-college visit at some college that could potentially be on everybody’s list (you know, Harvard, blah, all those ones our parents want us to go to but we’re like ehhh) in say, early September/October…pretend we’re visiting colleges and then go out and party.

Or I suppose we could do middle of June…but college visiting isn’t quite as legit then, and I highly doubt my parents (or any of yours, for that matter) would let me spend 300 bucks to go to the East Coast simply to meet a few people.

The college thing sounds pretty cool. I would love to go on an ivy-visit field trip with you guys.

I think after acceptances come out, those of us on the east coast should have a little get-together, and those on the west coast should have one. Just so we can finally meet face-to-face the people who have been such a help over the past…four months. Dude.

Gaaaah I’m in a quandry. My school only lets us take 4 APs max and if you take 4 you can’t take any other classes but I’ve been reccomended for five total! And next year there’s going to be an elective on questing I HAVE to take as a person, you know? Plus I have to finish my spanish requirements. God. ._.; I don’t know how I’m going to make this work out, because I want to take all these classes.

There are a grand total of two decent-sized unis in Montana: U of Monatana, and Montana State U. I want to go to Uof M, which is in Missoula, MT. I grew up in Great Falls but I liked it better in Missoula. Wikipedia lists two notable women from my hometown, and both are adult film stars.
I used to want to stick around and fix it, but I’m just not that idealistic anymore.

Aww, you should strive to win a Nobel Prize for something. Take it upon yourself to beef up that Wikipedia entry!

Yes, I am all for a west coast meetup! An east coast college tour would be more awesome, but less practical.

you should come to Dartmouth
that way I wont have to move :D

When I was in first or second grade, I came back from getting my first pair of glasses, and was very excited about them, and we were learning about compound words. We got to the prefix ‘eye-’ and I yelled out, “Eyeglasses!” and my stupid teacher told me thatissn’tawordandquitshowingoff. I started crying-- because, goddammit, I knew it was a word-- so she told me to stopbeingababyandifyou’resosureit’sawordthenfinditinthedictionary and by golly, I did.

lol .
