<p>Don’t start your essays now. I’m being honest; it will probably not work in your favor. A lot can change in the course of a few months and by the time interviews come around, you may not feel very closely related to or will just be bored of those essays you wrote a year ago. Plus, that summer experience sounds like a source of some really good topics so I’d wait and learn as much as I can about the world, people, stuff in general, and keep those TASP essays on the backburner until December rolls around.</p>

<p>I agree. I wrote my essays pretty much all in one night, and it worked wonders for me. I’m actually considering doing all my college essays the night before they’re due…lol</p>

<p>Hey ambition. You seem to be here for the right reason so that is good. I, myself, will be attending TASS this summer and will be applying for TASP next year (awww lil Corey is growin up)</p>
<p>Everyone is playing around here, the truth is scores/stats/bubbling ability/ect. don’t matter. I currently have 2 Cs and 3 Bs in my classes and scored a 167 on my PSAT. Telluride really attracts genuine people so don’t be deterred.</p>
<p>I know someone asked you earlier-- Why do you want to attend TASP? If you have a legitimate and sincere reason, you have a good chance (well not necessarily statistically-- because it is just not in your favor) but in the sense that if your interest truly lies in TASP you will have the passion that is necessary to even be in the running-- At least that is my personal view and understanding of the application process for Telluride.</p>
<p>Good Luck, and like others said. There is nothing wrong with being interested, but don’t worry about the app process until December. :-)</p>

<p>On the note of that message, it is scary to think that I want to go through the entire process again-- so rewarding, but even more time consuming. I know there are the stories of those who apply in a week, but I spent a good 2 months on those essays and put everything in them. Come junior year IDK how you all did it. 
(What am I saying it is so worth it) I could have the worst experience at TASS and still apply because all the ppl here are so cool.</p>

<p>Anyway. Yeah, t.a.a., don’t even begin to THINK about your essays until they’re actually posted. Trust me. Forget about TASP for now and just concentrate on having an awesome summer. FORGET ABOUT TASP, MMKAY?! Good. And then, take the advice these good people give you–they rock, they got in, etc etc etc. So yep.</p>
<p>Oh, and just so you know, I’m an '06 TASPer, meaning I was at TASP last year, meaning I am going to college this fall, meaning…yeah. I just wanted to blab for no reason, hehe. ^_^</p>

<p>ambition: i started one of my essays in december; the rest or less came together during the last two weeks (i finished three of my essays and printed them out as i was literally bolting out the door to get to the post office before it closed). i actually used an incident that happened last summer in my issues essay, so yes, i do agree: do not start these essays until you at least receive the brochure/the brochure is released on the website. speaking of brochures, i am another UMicker, and tako and i already agreed UMich is taking over the brochure this year. that’s right.</p>
<p>i mean, “Race, Space, and the American Self”? that’s like, the perfect, diverse TASP. therefore, the brochure is ours.
