Tasp 2007

Lol I am imagining those two stores in relation to Monta Vista area… that sucks majorly.

Thats why I utilize the VTA our glorious mass transit system…

Thats how I got to your school that time I visited you.

I know, but I wanted EXERCISE!

Little did I know just how out of shape I was…

lol so physically active Jenny. 10 mile walk to go to mervyns… Lol

Know how to save money… Cheap clothes and no gas to get there, power to ya

I know  I love saving money, it must be an Asian thing.

TWELVE DAYS OMG. I need to make a shopping list. And a packing list. Wow, I’m excited. I also need to start my pubspeak. I need to brainstorm good topics…still can’t believe I’m first :(

COREY WHY ARE YOU UP SO EARLY.

Oh right, you have school :stuck_out_tongue: Heehee. I will continue to laugh at you.

I wonder, is it only the UMich people who have been notified of the pubspeak schedules?

Well, our factota emailed us the first four people. Two people go per day, so they told us the people that were going the first two days so that we could start working on our pubspeak.

I went running today. I ran like three miles and had to walk. Omgosh I better be in top notch shape by the time I get to TASP! And I need to work out lots at TASP so I can PWN this season in cross country. I’m usually like second last on our team, so I’ve decided that this year I need to be really good, since it’s my last year.

Heehee. It’s totally not going to happen.

:O Good job tako! No wonder you’re in CC (also stands for cross-country). Aha! A pun!

And how long did it take you and your friend to walk that 10.5 miles?

just thought i’d step in and say cross-country = XC

bye :D

lol, XC… shows you how much I know about cross-country. I feel bad though because 2 of my friends are actually in it and I remember they used to have XC on their T-shirts. (feels bad)

Awww, it’s okay, Mintie.

I’m currently trying to learn how to code. It’s hard. I may have to spend all of TASP working on this stupid school newspaper website. :frowning: is sad

So, I hate to bring this subject up again, but I understand a female TASPer (with a vaguely but not necessarily Asian surname) just dropped out of the Cornell I program…perhaps not a ■■■■■ after all?

Wait, I’m mixing up my ■■■■■■…Mr. T-TASP claimed to be a Cornell Ier.
So she wasn’t real, after all, and the girl who dropped out had some excellent alternative opportunity that came up or something else urgently pressing…and everyone appreciates the TASPinesss of TASP and all is right with the world…phew

Excuse the brief interlude.

Yes, it has been unofficially established (by her lack of response/disappearance) that ivyplanter was a ■■■■■.

I still don’t quite understand it though, who does that for fun?

And do you guys think that AP Calculus is necessary? My current schedule consists of AP Stats, but everybody is telling me I should take Calc instead. I’ll admit it; I’m being a lazy bum by taking Stats because it’s much easier than Calc, at least at our school.

Tako, I don’t think AP Calc is necessary, but from what I hear it’s a pretty fun, albeit comparably rigorous, subject that is perhaps more theoretical. Although Stats is good, too; my friend, I think, even went so far as to call the AP exam “fun.” I dunno, I guess it’s just a question of personal preference.

On the subject of necessity…do you guys think we absolutely need a lock if we bring a laptop? My dad says they’re ridiculously expensive…

Oh, and to any past Cornellians–is there a piano available somewhere in the Telluride House? I’m debating whether or not to bring my music books.

i’m bringing a laptop and i still have no clue what a laptop lock is. lol. i don’t think it’s necessary, considering we’re living in a house and it’s not some communal-dorm-area that outsiders have access to.

True…

I’ve heard that there’s a piano available, and I’m bringing my music. I don’t know if we’ll have time to play on it, though, and I’m my piano skills have deteriorated…a lot.

:) Sheep

YES. There is a sob piano available sob. Oh the memories!

[/breakdown]

So much joy was had with that piano. Seriously. There’s nothing like walking down the stairs, following a golden trail of music in the air. Amazing. And when the music is from Amelie, OH LORD. <3 luff.

And I say eff the lock.

tako, if yo’re even vaguely interested in math, I’d say go for calc. I took AB this year, and it was hard at some points, but it was fun in a way…all the other math you’ve ever learned kind of starts fitting together. from what I’ve heard about statistics it sounds easier but painfully boring. maybe that’s just me though. I doubt calc is actually necessary though, statistics is useful in a lot of other subjects, it doesn’t seem like calc is as much.

question for everyone, especially UMich people: how much spending money do you think we need? is the $200 someone said in that old post a pretty good estimate?
