Tasp 2007

Columbia is a VERY nice school. I didn’t know their M:F ratio was that bad, lol.

My list is basically couple of Ivy League schools, maybe one LAC (I like big schools, you see), and my state safety. I have two other safeties, but I REALLY rather not go there, lol.

I think Karen’s talking about the engineering school.

Speaking of us being the hardest class, the current American Lit H teachers at my school (one of whom I had) are no longer teaching the class. So that means next year’s class of 09 gets a SUPER easy teacher. They don’t even have summer reading! Ridiculous. We all died in that class, and all the 09ers are going to ace it. Well, they’re missing out, I guess, because it was my favorite class regardless :D

that’s the way to look at it!

And yeah i’m talking about the engineering school.

Sometimes I wish that I liked math and engineering because then it would be easier for me to get into college. Being a middle class female English major applying to LACs is pretty bad (though I suppose being a white middle class New England male business major is worse off.) Lol. This is what college admissions does to you: makes you start cursing your heritage.

that it does. I spent a long time wishing my last name was hispanic sounding.

The thing is, I don’t really like engineering. I mean, I like it but to an extent. There are other things I enjoy more. I’m just extremely good at it so by default i’m going into a math/science thing. I’ll do a minor in something else though.

And your situation is not that bad. As you said, there are worse off positions to be in. I think being asian applying to med school is horrible too.

^ LOL

And yeah, I was also talking about the engineering school. I thought it would be a little less unbalanced.

Well tako, at least you’re not pre-med. You know, I KNOW it’ll be easier if I wanted to be an engineer/computer scientist, etc. but I also know I’m not going to be as happy doing it. Though college is pretty important to me, happiness >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> prestige/whatever college provides. ;)

But yeah… I still REALLY hope I can get into my dream college. XD

And tako, you should SO apply to MIT. It’s almost as small as an LAC and I think it wants girls. ;)

LOL, Karen, we said the exact same thing about being pre-med.

Meh. I’ll LIVE MY DREAMS!!! XD …unless I get rejected by med school. SOB :(

=(

good luck!

and i know this is a tangent but check out story number 7082 http://www.bored.com/datestories/index.htm</a> XD

My mom just got home early from work and came in my room asking me “are there any colleges you want to visit you haven’t seen yet? I have a lot of vacation days left”

In other words, she’s planning our trip to Ann Arbor as I type this post.

-“Of course I want to see the school but I have a few friends that will be at a summer program there so I want to visit them too”
-“Oh so that’s why you want to go. Okay one day for you to look at the school, one day for your brother to look at the business school and you to hang out with your friends.”

<3

The only thing is that day will probably be a weekday.

lol, your brother’s going to business school?

And gosh, I’d like to visit colleges too. Still, I’m waiting until I get accepted to go - it’ll just be too sad to have all those wonderful memories of the campus and then get rejected. :P

what are the plans for the 4th of july because it looks like that’s the only day i’m gonna be completely free. Well, the afternoon that is. Then thursday I’m gonna take the tour and I assume you guys have seminars that day. Friday we’re driving back since my brother retardedly scheduled his flight back for saturday.

I hate my dad. Apparently if I want to visit a school it means I’m totally interested in it to the point of applying ED. >:-O Whatever. I’m gonna go along with it so I can hang out with everyone.

nvm, My bro is leaving on sunday so I’m in Ann Arbor from independence day until saturday morning. That is, if my brother likes the idea. My dad hates it but then again, my dad hates everything and is extremely pessimistic. Hence it being up to my bro. I hope he says it’s okay!

Well we are free on weekdays from 1-6 in the afternoon. Then after dinner curfew isn’t until like 11 Karen :)

And yayy Karen’s coming

Today I went bra shopping and heard the awkwardest quote ever:

30-40 year old lady talking to her friend: “It’s okay, I was flat as a board too until I had my surgery. Now I don’t even need a push-up bra!”

I was in the stall next to them and I was just like O_o

haha funny story there.

Keep your cell on. I’m gonna call you when I get there and such so we can meet up. If all goes according to plan I’m gonna have 3 days there. =) Hm…so if my parents ask you all go to the same high school as Roam and uh…i know you through model UN competitions. ;)

Cool. Sounds good. Which UN competition did we meet at? :)

haha Haddenfield.

Haddenfield. Got it.

You know, it doesn’t look like we’re going to reach our 500 page goal. We’re only on page 483 and it’s already Friday night! :(

do you leave tomorrow?
