TASP Decisions

^ Are you Diya?

And does anyone know whether or not the Cornell Telluride House has air conditioning?

Hi; I’m not Diya. My name’s Kira, and I’m from rural northern California. I don’t know if there is air conditioning, but I’ll probably bring a fan just in case.

^ Oh, awesome. I guess I’ll be seeing you at Cornell TASP. =)

^Yeah. By the way, do you know anyone else who is going to the Cornell I program?

Whoa! 19% of TASP is on CC.

^ I know; we’re just that amazing!

Kira: I know one other person attending Cornell 1 (Diya), and a few others attending Cornell 2. Do you have a Facebook, by any chance? I found several TASPers through that site.

^I don’t have a Facebook; I should check the site out, though. Thanks.

now its at 20%! I wonder if we’ll be able to get it to 30?

I don’t think this is really accurate b/c some TASPers just joined CC after getting into TASP so that percentage doesn’t really reflect “CCers” that were here for the pre-TASP process. Just my two cents for when you use that percentage next year.

Well, Peter, many of them were here in spirit (aka, lurking). But, point taken.

true bravos, but how else did they find CC? they must have been lruking or something.

To answer an earlier question: Cornell House does not have air conditioning (it was built in 1917).

^ Darnit. How’s the summer weather in Ithaca?

Bring your own fan…it’s a godsend.

im going to be ac-less over the summer as well. yes, ive stocked up on fans.

Man, that sucks…

Does anyone know anything about Cornell weather, degree-wise?

i find humidity miserable. this is a product of living almost my entire life in a bone dry climate. this summer should be an interesting experience in that way- learning not to wilt, melt, or otherwise disengrate when the weather is so wet that all you want to do is curl up and go to sleep. :)

whats Austin like? both TASP wise and weather wise (you know, since a 1/3 of the people on CC are going there)
