TASP Decisions

SAME. It’s all Jason’s fault. glare

Ditto. Geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez! :(

I was like, “crap… I didn’t even hear about (not) getting an interview.”

Does anyone know if someone named Dong Cheng made Tasper?

Aw, I’m sorry, youngtwig (Young?).

Goldfish: 2006 TASP decisions haven’t been released yet.

if your a competitive applicant to the top schools, ie HYP, would TASP be the tipping factor?

and what would be the single most important factor? essays?

TASP looks very impressive, yes, but I’m sure that most of the people who got into TASP would have gotten into the top colleges, as well.

Do you mean the most important factor for TASP? Yes, that would be your essays and later on, your interview. They look mostly at your passion, intellectual curiosity/ability, open-mindedness, and character.

Jason: Are you a sophomore currently?

yes =)

10 char

Jason, if you’re interested, look at the giant tasp thread that’s buried within this forum: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=103089&highlight=tasp

Aww, man. Seeing this post reminds me of the ordeal of applying to TASP. Bad memories of rushed essays and craziness. I didn’t get in (could it be my photo that put them off?), but on second thought, I enjoyed Mathcamp more instead. Good luck, people.

I’ve heard that TASP is the top summer program in the nation. I did not score among the top 1% of the people who took the PSAT, but the college advisor at my school nominated me. I applied, wrote those six,(6), essays and now i received a letter saying that they liked my essays and they want me to have an interview. I feel confident about my essays, but i don’t know how i’ll do during the interview. If there is anyone who already went through the process, can you tell me what is the interview like? After all, I’m just an average student. I don’t have the crazy grades people being admitted have. All my hopes are in my essays and the interview.
