That engagement ring is quite an ice rink (8 carats). For such a big stone, I like it’s simple design. It’s far better than the mega-rocks you see on Kardashians and their ilk.

Someone on Instagram once referred to Taylor as “My personal emotional support billionaire pop star,” and I have to admit it resonated. My 8-year-old granddaughter won’t ask, but I know she will be wondering. Full of parasocial joy for Taylor and Travis today.

Travis Kelce graduated from my high school. He and his brother are very connected to the community, and IIRC, one parent still lives there. Travis and Taylor have been seen in nearby places recently. Everyone in my hometown hopes that one of their homes will be there.
I think this is terrific, and it’s nice to see this couple together, supporting their high power careers as a couple.
I’m actually looking forward to hearing about the wedding!

There is a singer who told of going on one date with her years ago, and the intensity of the paparazzi scared him off. I think it’s awesome that she found someone who can hold his own in that regard.

I’m going to the Cleveland area tomorrow - maybe there will be a parade or something! 
I am one who is not invested in this relationship at all and feel like I’m watching from the outside. That’s ok and I’m willing to let others have their moment with the news.

I listened to their podcast before the whole Taylor thing exploded.
I saw a tweet yesterday that made me laugh.
This is for a niche audience but I feel like there’s a 30 percent chance that, given today’s news, in about fifteen years,Taylor and Travis are just really involved Hawken sports parents.
For those who don’t know, Hawken is a private school on the east side of Cleveland.

Taylor Swift will always have a soft spot in my heart since hers was the first big arena concert I took my D to (along with a big group of her friends and their moms).
While I don’t follow Taylor/Travis very closely, Taylor has the reputation of maintaining close family and friend relationships. Of course, I have no way of knowing how much of that is PR vs reality, but there must be some level of truth since that has been pretty consistent over many years. So it will be interesting to see when/if they start a family and how they adjust their professional lives. I would be surprised if they sent their kids to boarding school, not that I have any personal knowledge to support that. I just expect a more hands-on parenting plan (that will involve nannies and homeschooling on the road… as one does).
She’s a cat lady and made crazy cat ladies cool (kind of)… so Trav must be good with cats or he would have been kicked to the curb long ago. I wish them a long and happy marriage, as I would any newly engaged couple.

Travis graduated from my high school. He and his brother go there at least once a year and speak to the students. They have also donated money to the school. Both were HS football players there. And I think their mom still lives in the same house they grew up in.
I think this is terrific.
These are wealthy people who give back to many worthy causes.
