Good news from CA…
I got accepted right at 5!
If you don’t mind, would you share with us your GPA, ACT, etc?
I know it is discussed above that EA is 12/16, just to affirm for other EA applicants, our son’s application still shows as “We have received your 2020 fall term application for the 2020 Early Action deadline. Your application is complete and you will receive your admission decision no later than January 1st.”
My daughter got accepted today. We live in Dallas and she has a 4.1 GPA and made a 30 on the ACT. She also received the faculty scholarship. Good luck everyone!???
As admission decisions are coming in, if you don’t mind sharing could you post:
Decision (accepted, deferred, etc)
ED or EA
Major
GPA
ACT
State
Here are my stats!
- Accepted
- ED
- Journalism
- 3.6 W
- Didn’t submit ACT, but SAT was 1240
- TX
Now wishing my daughter had applied Early Decision instead of Early Action. TCU is definitely her first choice. She has a 4.1 and a 28 on her ACT and is applying as a Movement Science and Nutrition Major. Any thoughts on whether or not this is enough to get her in? She’s an out-of-state applicant from Iowa.
I got in!
ACT- 27
GPA- 3.5
If you don’t mind me asking, what scholarships did you receive? My stats are right about where yours are and applied EA.
Friend of mine’s son is waiting for ED decision…have they all gone out? He’s kind of freaking out so wanted to check. Thx
My portal refreshed right at 5 yesterday, so I would assume they all went out? Tell them to check their portal rather than their email.
-Accepted
-ED
-Business
-3.9W
-ACT 30
-CA
@MaysDad My son applied EA as well and his shows the same message, however; his now shows his actual test scores when they weren’t there before. Does yours reflect this also?
@justus4 After reading your post, my son’s portal now also shows the test scores (which weren’t there before). There is also a Financial Aid checklist which wasn’t there before. Hopefully, it means good things Waiting is hard!
@Steglitz90 Yes, waiting is SO HARD lol! I feel like it’s harder on me than it is him sometimes?. He doesn’t have the FA checklist on his but we didn’t complete a FAFSA app so I’m hoping that’s the reason?? I do hope it’s a good thing we’re seeing the minor change! Best of luck!
So good to hear from other people who are applying! I have heard Early action may come back the 13 and I have heard the 16th. Has anyone heard a definite date?
Yes, office of admissions confirmed the 13th!
@inaalb I called a few weeks ago, and they told me the week b/w Christmas & New Year’s. Then I read on CC that it was due to tornados in DFW area. Did you talk to someone in AO that confirmed this date? Thanks.
Dean of admissions is on video saying dec 13th. See link earlier in this thread.
