But then why would the admissions office upload a video on youtube saying that EA Decisions are coming out 12/13? This information is very unclear.
@AlwaysConfused2001 I would check the date of the YouTube video. If it pre-dated the tornados in DFW, then it may not be current.

Sounds like it is this Friday. The people on the phone in the AO are just being very careful about not saying anything other than “before Jan 1st.”
Is there suppose to be financial aid on their check list even if they didn’t apply. My D is early action. Has the message gone from the top of her application as well. SAT score listed and all checks on her information and in. Just curious about the financial aid part. She didn’t apply for anything. Is that a good or bad sign?

NO did not fill out FAFSA. She doesn’t qualify. We didn’t do this for our other daughter. Does this matter?
I don’t think it’s required but that maybe the reason your portal is not showing the financial aid checklist. Her portal does show her verified Sat scores correct?
Did the ED applicants that got in get an E-Mail about their decision being released on a certain date at a certain time?
Are scholarships offered the same time as acceptances? In the portal?
My daughter applied ED. No email was ever sent, her acceptance was on her portal. Yes, the financial package was sitting there after she was accepted at 5pm CT. I did not think my daughter qualified for scholarship either, but we went ahead and filled out the FAFSA/CSS Profile and I am glad we did

Just an FYI. I live in the DFW area. The tornados were not bad, and did not affect Ft. Worth at all. I doubt that would play into any delay of decision by TCU. SMU, maybe…but, doubtful even for them.
The video the dean of admissions posted said their projected release dates were Dec. 6 for ED and Dec. 13 for EA. I applied ED and got in and I have a bunch of friends applying EA and almost everyone has said Dec. 13. good luck!

When I received my email I was very tempted to open it, but my sibling who had graduated from TCU was flying in that night and I wanted them to be there. I waited until 2:30 am that night to open it, and made sure to video it. I’m glad I did because now I have that special family memory forever as the beginning of my journey as a Horned Frog ?
