My lesson was on precalculus so it was definitely the most elaborate (which may or may not be a bad thing). But literally all the presentations in my group were sooo good. I was soooo nervous though, which is crazy, because I tutor precal study groups and know the material like the back of my hand. Ugh! One of the girls in my group work was actually the one who tied the article we read into the one from the pre-reading. I can’t believe I didn’t think of that at all. But I was the one to speak on behalf of the group so hopefully brownie points for me there. The one thing I’m really REALLY nervous about is that my interview literally lasted 20 minutes. I had my answers prepared beforehand so I’m hoping I just saved time being that my answers got right to the point. The girl before me had a very short interview as well (25minutes about). However the girl after me was literally in there for an hour and 15 minutes which is beyond me what they talked about for so long. I interviewed in NYC- literally everyone in the room highly preferred the city and/or somewhere else in the north east which are all very competitive. I was the only one actually wanting to relocate. (Texas) So I’m confident if I am accepted that I will easily find placement and can avoid the dreaded wait-list. The best thing of all was that everyone in my group was really nice. Not in the least bit standoffish! We all exchanged contact information. This took off a lot of the anxiety/stress and made the day a lot of fun. No matter what happens, a few of the girls in particular, I think I’ve made solid friendships with. It would be great if we all get in and can meet up to celebrate.

fingers crossed

I wish everyone the best. I’ll keep you all posted on my fate lol. I know someone else on here listed Dallas as their first preference. Hopefully we both get it and can know someone going into institute!

Good luck to you, TLMM and SWL! I am anxiously awaiting the 18th as I’m sure you both are!

I mostly ranked places that were very popular regions (mostly east coast), but I did list Las Vegas as #2, after CT, and I would be super happy no matter where I get placed, should I be accepted.

I haven’t seen my transitional funding status change… my interview was on Friday, 4/5

If you are accepted, I assume they only look at your TF documents once you are actually placed, yes? Since it would depend on how far you will need to relocate… Does anyone know if they base your transitional funding package in part on the distance you relocate?

If this is the case, I imagine it is a tricky game to place people and will take most of the week. Does anyone know anything about how the waitlist works?

My status changed to “incomplete” and I got and email that I needed to update another document. I’m not sure if it would have changed to complete had I updated the correct documents. Does anyone else have experience with this.

Las Vegas
Dallas-Fort Worth
Atlanta Ga
LA,CA
Alabama

I really wanted to go back home to LA but I knew that wouldn’t happen so Vegas is close enough!
But Dallas is beautiful I’d be happy with either!

My interview went really great! But everyone who left felt their interview went well as well!
Everyone was extremely nice I signed up to go last for the interview I needed a minute to calm my nerves! While in the bathroom I ran across a lady I didn’t know who she was she asked me how I was feeling? I said like a ball of nerves she told me “don’t be trust me you’ll be fine! 56,000 people applied but you’re here which speaks volumes!! Don’t second guess your self and your ability, as she was leaving the bathroom she told me she just interviewed people yesterday to my suprise…she said trust me you’ll be fine” after that I took all my doubt away said a prayer and no longer worried. Either worry or pray bc you can’t do both! I wish you all the best of luck! Which u don’t need have FAITH!

@Blessed Instead of worrying OR praying I’m just focusing on finishing the semester strong! But you’re right, worrying won’t change the outcome, So you might as well do something productive for yourself. I wish everyone the best! :D

My transitional funding is still under review. I’m tempted to be worried about this, but a few of my friends were accepted at an earlier deadline and theirs didn’t change until the day they were notified of their acceptance.

My top five locations are:
CT (with a note that my fiancee lives and works in CT)

Yes I’m also wishing everyone the best!! I also am trying to refrain from obsessing… I’m glad we can keep each other updated on here though! As I said, my interview was on 4/5 in Philly but I submitted all my TF stuff on 4/2. My final prefs are the following order: bay area, Portland, rhode island, Philly, Pittsburgh, baltimore, san Diego, twin cities, Milwaukee, Massachusetts, Colorado, Kansas city, Charlotte, Delaware, Oklahoma. Sending out all my positive vibes! -Jess

Yeah that’s my whole list of places, i put 15. but only the first 6 are my highly preferred and all the others are just preferred except Oklahoma is LP.
