@iTeach, sorry to hear that
Stay positive & hopeful! Continue to search for information on other similar programs.

Hey everyone, under your transitional funding application, under loan documentation - does it say the amount of loans you have? Mines does. I don’t remember seeing it before; if they just put it, then they are still on my transition funding; although that still isn’t much of a sign of acceptance or rejection. Stay optimistic you guys :)

Guys/Girls I really think iTeach is pranking us!!!

@Minority Dreamer.

Mine does, it always has. When they reviewed my documentation, they changed the amounts of my loans because they added in next semester and put it in the notes that they did.

Anyone else having trouble logging in to teach for america?

I’m still ‘under review,’ and unfortunately, I’m getting more and more convinced that TFA isn’t happening for me.

@RED0088, being that my mom hasn’t really made alot of money during her career; she didn’t understand me applying at first, because she’s always wanted me to make a ton of money taking care of her. After I told her about the opportunity, about the students who I can possibly influence for the better, the great friendships that will be built, etc, she’s know “bragging” about me even though I haven’t been “officially accepted.” So, I’d definitely tell my parents about the benefits of helping children!

Hope that helps

@MinorityDreamer ,

That definitely does help! Thanks for the insight.

@TFAwannabe2013, no, the website seems fine and it’s working perfectly fine on my end. Pretty much still the same information we’ve seen for about a month. Only one day still! :)

Wait under my loan documentation it has the current amount for my loans and i’m UNDER REVIEW, so those under review they are actually still working on transitional funding. Be optimistic!!!

@Tkass87, Gotcha!

Thanks! I’m not sure why I’m just noticing it - kind of weird, haha.

@RED0088 my mom WANTS me to get out of Texas. She feels that Texas is going to limit me in my professional aspirations and after I finish school, she’ll probably be right. She was actually a little disappointed that I didn’t choose somewhere else as my highly preferred but my Doctoral program is here so I was trying to make it a bit easier on myself. I told her I applied and she just thought it was a teaching job interview and I find myself giving her the -__- face whenever she says it. But then I melt when she follows it up with, “My baby so smart! She’s gonna be a teacher!”

@luvya683, awesome! I’m pretty sure you don’t have anything to worry about! :)

@Tkass87 !
Hahaha! I completely understand. I saw you mentioned earlier that you are at TWU! I’m at UNT
We’re like academic cousins.

Where are y’all seeing amounts??

@Tkass87, mines too! My mom was like, “I can’t believe you are back on the teacher thing,” haha. I use to want to teach when I was younger; then, I wanted to make a ton of money, and now I’m back wanting to teach, but its definitely for an AWESOME reason and she knows it now. She’s bragging at her job daily, while she’s working on the line. Haha. Our moms’ are slightly different though; my mom wants me to stay in the same city, in her house while teaching. Haha. I want to move, but I do love our area and our neighborhood/schools surely needs alot of help. After all, a ton of the teachers in my high school was TFA corp members.

@TFAwannabe2013 Under the list of verification items it should say something like,

Documentation verifying current amount of Federal Student Loans ( XXXXX)
I took the amount out. Didn’t want to give anyone a heart attack with my loan number.

@RED0088 indeed we are!

Oh! I didn’t even realize that.

Didn’t we enter our loan amounts on our TF app? Mine have always been there.

@iraja I’m losing hope, too! :(

@TFAwannabe2013 - I didn’t realize it either

@Certainlyset - Don’t lose hope!! I think it has always been there! A few of us, didn’t realize it though.

I think now we are all nervous; let’s try to calm down, relax, and enjoy the last 24-28 hours! :)
