Teacher Rec Problem

I applied Early Action, and I asked my teacher at the beginning of October to write my recommendation. He agreed, and I asked him to have it in by the end of October because I would be applying November 1. He did not turn it in. Since then, I have asked him every single day to turn the recommendation in, and he still has not. Will this look bad on my application?

I’m sorry to be the one to break the news, but your application will not be considered for Early Action without the missing teacher’s recommendation. Yes, it’s that important. I would talk to the teacher on Monday and let them politely know the facts. You might be better off asking another teacher for an RD recommendation.

If he turns it in soon, you can still be considered for EA. They won’t penalize you for a late teacher recommendation. If he doesn’t turn it in at all, then…

Oh my God. I am so angry right now. Can I email the admin office and try to switch my recommendation to someone else?

Don’t email – call the Admissions Office . . . but only AFTER another teacher sends in your recommendation.

calm down, call the admission office and tell them your situation. you are not the only one, they will understand
