Ok, I want some insight on this interesting little predicament.

I am currently a Sophomore and am trying to transfer to NYU Gallatin in Spring 2008.

My stats:

HS: 3.02
SATs: 1400/2400
HS ECs: Piano lessons, Debs and Phils volunteer work, private art lessons, Rake Up Boise.

College GPA: 3.81 (weighted) 31 credits complete
College: Boise State - Honors College

In progress: 14 credits. Writing Center 417, English 303, History 312, History 211 (Honors), Geology 101 (Honors).

ECs: Work experience, Writing Center tutor, SWIMBA trail reporter.

Awards: Deans List – Spring 2007.

Predicament: The professor that I asked to write my recommendation was my English 303 professor. I have been talking to him and he says that my work is very sharp, well thought out and on its way to getting even better. However, currently I have a “rising B” in his class. I noticed on the NYU application, there is a section for “Student’s grade in this class:____”

Of course this got me worried. I spoke with him about it and he said that he is sure that I will be awarded an A by the end of the semester for my work. He obviously has to write the grade that I have, so what are anyone’s thoughts of this? Will this be a downer for my app?

At the same time, this class is filled with grad students and upper-division students, I am by far the youngest student intellectually and age-wise.
