Teacher Recommendation- Does evaluation NEED to be filled out???

Maybe a stupid question, but does your teacher HAVE to fill out the evaluation portion on the common app or can they just attach their letter of recommendation? Does it look bad to not have this part completed?

Please read the Teacher evaluation form carefully and you will see that it says that the teacher can attach an additional sheet or past LOR.

entomom - that’s why I was confused. An “additional” sheet- does that mean that the past LOR must be submitted WITH the Common App form? I am still unclear on whether the teacher needs to sign the Common App form at all.

Yes, the past LOR only replaces the “Evaluation” section of the Teacher evaluation form. The teacher needs to fill out the rest of the form, sign it and send it in. Sorry, I didn’t understand your question before.

That’s okay; thank you for responding!
So the teacher still must fill out the ratings and everything, right?
I’ll stop badgering you now:)

All right, I’m almost positive that I understand, thanks!

Yes, you should fill out the top information, and the teacher should fill out the information and the ratings section.

Good luck!

Thank you! I appreciate the help.
