Hey guys, i was wondering if you guys could give me any input about the importance of teacher recommendations. If i have my chem ap teacher, who is hopkins alumni, write me a recommendation, would that have any significant impact of my admission chances?

I think it could only help. They do value their alumns opinions (hence why students get interviewed by an alumn). Dont expect it to be groundbreaking, but it can only help.

My ap bio teacher is a Hopkins alum (School of Public Health.) When he wrote my rec, he was able to point out exactly how I would fit in and how my school had prepared me. I don’t know if it was the deciding factor or anything, but it definitely helped.
