<p>Can I ask my English teacher who taught me in my sophomore year? She taught me in 6th grade and she is the supervisor of a club that I’m the president of. Someone told me that I’m only allowed to ask teachers who taught me in my junior and senior year. Is that true?</p>
<p>Later is probably better, but unless the schools you are applying to prohibit it, I would consider it if she knows you better.</p>
