Teacher's recommendation is a lame summary of resume

Hi,

My problem with my teacher’s recommendation letter is that its basically a recap of my resume. I was hoping my teacher would put in more anecodotes of things that I did in class that betters portraits me as individual.

How should I approach my teachers and let them know that I do not want them to look at my resume and simply relist my ECAs, but rather have them write about my character?

If possible, I would suggest asking a different teacher for a letter of recommendation. A teacher who merely provided a recap of your resume probably thinks it is fine and may either dislike your criticism and may rewrite a negative LOR.

In most cases you will not even see the LOR. They are not as important as many think on CC. You’re in as good shape as most if the top boxes are checked.
