<p>i’m an international student so my teachers will be mailing my references in by post. so i was wondering, is it an issue if my references arrive before my actual application?</p>

<p>i’m ed-ing to 1 school (that does not use common app) and rd-ing to 5 others (that use common app), but my teacher says she’ll be sending everything in at the same time (ie. before nov 1) because she’ll be out of the country after that. the thing is i probably won’t submit my common app and supplements until sometime mid/late december because i’ll be taking the a levels in november.</p>

<p>help would be much appreciated! i actually set up this account so i could ask (:</p>

<p>I don’t think it’s a problem. I’ve been told that they set up your file with whatever they get first…</p>

<p>It’s very common for supplemental information to arrive early, as a student puts finishing touches on their application. As the previous poster said, the college will set up your file with the first item that arrives and add to it from there!</p>
