Tebow looking for new haven

He should become a TV preacher.

He took Denver from a dead team to one going to the playoffs. How’s that not good enough?

You’d have to look at the Tebow season in Denver with greater attention! And then perhaps look at what happened to the Denver team after it acquired a passing and intelligent QB and let the rah-tah nitwit go try his luck in New York. A place where he could not unseed an inept Sanchez.

The Tebow team was 8-8 with victories that were mostly due to a combination of amazing luck and clueless play by their opponents. They finished the season with three losses that exposed their “leader” weaknesses. Between those three losses and the wipeout at the hands of New England, Tebow had that remarkable game against the clueless Steelers who allowed a mediocre QB to win with a throwaway pass.

The Manning team finished 13-3. They clinched the division with 4 games left. Nuff said about a dead team! There isn’t a single player on that Denver roster who would like Tebow back in Denver. They are probably the least surprised he did nothing in New York and earned his release this week.

New Haven? A past home of the New York Football Giants. The only way he could be with the Giants is if he bought a ticket. As a Gaints fan for decades, the Jets have been a source of bemusement–except for that SB III, which they could hold over us until 1986 put an end to that. Call me old, but I was at a Titan game at Shea.

The Giants actually drafted a QB this year, and the first thing the GM said was, “I hope he never gets to play here.”

Tebow was treated shabbily. But he’ll land on his feet. After all, what other backup QB flies by private jet to his first media appearance?

Tampa Bay Bucs should hire Tebow and give him a shot as a backup qb. Tampa Bay area is still full with Tebow fans/Gators…it’d help sell Bucs’ tickets which means fewer TV blackouts allowing me to watch Bucs on TV more! Tampa football fans loved when former Gator Steve Spurrier played qb for Bucs and also loved Spurrier when he was successful head coach of old USFL Tampa Bay Bandits fb team…things could maybe workout for Tebow in Tampa too. If Tebow bombs in Tampa, he could go back to Jacksonville area and probably get elected to US Congress…he can’t be much worse than some of our current congressmen and congresswomen. If politics don’t workout, he could coach high school or do youth work or be a motivational speaker. He’s got a lot of options.

Elway couldn’t get rid of Tebow fast enough. He knew Tebow was not an NFL QB.

I don’t think much of people who criticize others who have accomplished great things and have done so with class and dignity.
Tim Tebow will be just fine.

If you are saying Manning is better than Tebow, I say Duh.

If you are saying Tebow can’t play in the NFL, his season in Denver saving that team shows he can play in the NFL.

^Re: Denver wins--------Came down to luck and defense. Sure had nothing to do with any sort of passing ability by Tebow.

His mechanics are wrong. He winds up for the throw as if he’s throwing a baseball. It’s a total longshot for him to have any success as a quarterback in the NFL.

He’s a run first quarterback in a league where you need to first throw.

I can’t think of a reason why any NFL team would want to pick him up as a quarterback. He’s not good enough to be a 1st quarterback. If he’s the backup quarterback, anytime the 1st quarterback isn’t successful on a play, his nutty fans will chant—Tebow, Tebow. It’s a lose, lose for any team.

I’m a massive Jets fan and I NEVER liked Tebow since his college days but started to feel bad for him. I love Mark Sanchez and have since he started but he does suck, doesn’t he? :X

I have no more excuses for their behavior, (Rex and Sanchez) lol. Sigh, the life of a Jets fan. I still have hope though!

He was present… “took” might be stretching things a little. He hurt the team as much as he helped it.

Well, tega, I guess you, Writer1992 and I are still hanging in there as Jets fans. Being a Jets fan is a little like loving your puppy that keeps piddling on the rug. You just sigh, clean it up, and try to keep smiling.

However I have to say that as a football fan, the butt fumble made it all worthwhile. If you’re doing a clip of worst football moments of all time, that’s got to be up there. And how many teams can claim such a distinction ?

Tebow is good enough to play for a few teams as the starters.

He could play on a team that relies on a couple of gimmicks a game. He would not be a starter, and surely not a starting QB. He might have an incredibly hard time to learn a new position, and play it better than players who excel at that same position.

He has some positive attributes, but they are dwarfed by its limitations. His option might be limited to reinvent himself with the Orlando Predators, and hope to pull a Kurt Warner. But then again, Tebow cannot be compared to the great Warner.

I had a link to a video that had the butt fumble viewed from four different camera angles at once, all beautifully synchronized. Wish I could find it again, it was a work of art. That whole sequence was epic… 3 touchdowns in under a minute.

I don’t know if Tebow has good hands, but he has the size, speed, and toughness to be the 2nd tight end in a two tight end set.

There’s a lot of man-love for Tebow in the Patriots organization. I wouldn’t be surprised if they bring him in to take a look. If he isn’t willing to play another position, though, he is done.

The Tebow bashers are out in full force.
No, Tebow did not have an 8-8 record. Look up stuff before you post. He inherited an awful 1-4 Bronco team. He then reeled off 7 straight victories when Fox finally put him in. When he played, he was 7-4. You can’t be taken seriously if you count Orton’s 4 losses as part of Tebow’s doing. Also saying all of his wins were more of opponent miscues or just luck is just shameful. Go watch the highlight reel. Game winning drive after game winning drive. He also threw for 316 yards against the #1 defense in the league in a playoff game. This all occurred during his first true season. And of course comparing him to Manning is unfair. Nobody should have a job if you’re just going to compare them to Peyton. But guess what, Manning couldn’t win any playoff games with Denver. Tebow did.

He did okay as a 24-year old starter, yet the experts don’t believe he can be a winning QB. If an offense was developed for his running ability and his left-handed throwing, I think he would surprise some people. In the good old days of the AFL, some smart general manager would have snapped him up in an instant and adapted to his strengths. I hope the Patriots sign him.

Whoa no! I hope they don’t, but in Belichick we trust. I doubt Belichick would put up with his media circus, but if I’m wrong, I’ll root for him anyway. Go Pats!

Tebow has only one issue, he can’t throw. (he can’t make NFL level throw)

No, they got slaughtered by the Lions in Tebow’s second game.

In 6 of his first 8 games, the Broncos scored 18 points or less. In his 11 regular season games, they only scored more than 22 points 3 times. Orton, on the other hand, scored 20 or more in 4 of his 5 games.

The Chicago game was an absolute gift, plus it took two 55 yard field goals.

In 5 of Tebow’s wins the opposing team scored 15 points or less. In Orton’s 5 games, the defense gives up less than 22 points only once. I guess you are pretty magical when you can improve the defense by 10 or 15 points a game when you don’t play defense.

Pittsburgh played one of the most stupid games of all time in the playoffs. 8 in the box every play and anybody could put up 300 yards, and it still took a near miracle.

Yeah he had a couple of nice game-winning drives, but come on. His body of work is not great.
