I know cc:ers love rankings. I am interested in the tech brands that help a student to build a CS resume. I realize that what the position is, pay, fit, results, and other factors have a significant impact. However, I am interested in how these company brands would be perceived on a typical CS student’s resume. Which companies would get your attention more than others?

My ex attended Rensselaer and worked two internships at Microsoft while in school. When he was approaching graduation and looking for jobs, companies would often see those internships on his resume and it normally resulted in an interview. He ended up interviewing with Microsoft, Google, and Apple and received offers from the first two. He moved away to Seattle to go back to Microsoft.
