<p>Sad, sad. He was a really good guy and from his senate track/voting record it really seemed like he wanted to make a difference and change things for the positive. Hopefully his plea for a quick Senate replacement will go into effect.</p>

<p>^ You know what, people make mistakes. He spent his whole life atoning for them. I’m sorry… I’m just sick of reading about this. I didn’t like Ted Kennedy all that much, but people do stupid things when they’re young and sometimes it has worse consequences than others. George Bush drove drunk too, he was just lucky enough not to kill someone.</p>

<p>How do you think Michael Douglas (the guy who was struck and killed, not the actor) feels about Laura Bush? But nobody talks about that now do they?</p>

<p>He may have been influential, but I really hate that his death seems to erased all the bad he’s done. Dying doesn’t absolve you of a lifetime of lying, cheating and murder…everyone I’ve spoken to is sanctifying him, and it just bugs the **** out of me</p>
