I truly, truly hope that this was some sort of random act of violence and not what it more than likely is.

I really just have no words for this. Too close to home. My deepest sympathies to their friends and family. I hope the ■■■■■■■(s) who did this pay dearly for ending a beautiful young life.

I hope that the families, friends and loved ones of the victims find peace and that justice is served.

romanigypsyeyes, sadly, I think that was the most likely scenario. It is incredilby sad and painful to realize that acts of violence like this still happen in our day and age. I’m so sorry and I wish all the best to the families and loved ones of the two girls and speedy recovery to the survivor. I hope that justice will be served, and the criminal(s) will be locked up for a long time.

How terribly sad. Although my mind is jumping to the conclusion that this was because of their relationship, my heart is hoping that I am wrong. My heart goes out to their family and friends.

I hope they catch the killer(s) and he/she/they get to live a very long and very miserable life behind bars.

Politics, Religion, etc. Politics, religion, and similar controversial topics should be discussed only as directly applicable to college matters. College Confidential is not a debating society. Hence, “Would a Catholic be comfortable at BYU?” or “What is the political environment at Grinnell?” are fine. “Democrats (or Republicans) are evil!” and other opinions unrelated to the college process are not allowed.

I didn’t post this story to start a debate, but so those who are interested can show support in their community for the families and friends of the young women.

As the last murder in their community was two years ago, I hope that nevertheless the police dept puts all available resources towards solving this horrible crime.
